The importance of sustainable community program in an effort to realize an integrated environment order
As we know, countries in Southeast Asia are identical with the abundant natural resources. Even by 2014, the ASEAN region accounted for 45% of the area of forests as the lungs of the Earth, providing oxygen for all living things. Potential, simply make a great opportunity for countries in the ASEAN region to go forward. But it is difficult to be realized because it is not offset by the steady preservation and management infrastructure development sector which is still bad. This has resulted in many changes in the environment that occur in the region of ASEAN.
For example, by 2015 in my country Indonesia, fought forest fires and resulting

In sustainable community development program, there are three aspects, namely social, economic and environmental. This program involves the community as a subject in environmental sustainability. It is effected by the dual role of mutually contradictory from the community itself, i.e. as an acceleration of economic and development as well as accelerating environmental degradation. In order for community empowerment programs in our country are going well, we had to do the mentoring. It would be better if it is done by people in academic mentoring program as a student. Certainly in the academic environment is no stranger to the term village community development program, public service (KKN), villagers built which directly involve the community with students. This is an opportunity for students to give insight into the environment to society then perform accompaniment along with the Government and make an evaluation. The most important things from the program implementation is the community can resume the program
The following case study critiques Upton’s vision to establish a sustainable community through implementing comprehensive sustainable strategy. The urban periphery development is thought to demonstrate superior execution of sustainable principles in development (Jackson 2007). As a parallel, the report focuses on the development of Upton’s design code and demonstrates how large -scale mix-use developments can incorporate sustainable practice and principles of urban growth.
to produce sustainable communities. This text is critical to this research project because it provides substantive examples of
The concept of ‘Just Sustainability’ incorporates not only environmental sustainability but also a need to strive towards social justice and equity. According to Agyeman sustainability is “the need to ensure a better quality of life for all, now and into the future, in a just and equitable manner, while living within the limits of supporting ecosystems.” (Agyeman et al. 2003 as cited in Agyeman 2005: 43) Both the desire for sustainability and development can be cause for many social justice and human equity issues, but in order to fulfil the idea of ‘Just Sustainability,’ all of these things need to be taken into account. (Agyeman 2005: 43) An example of how social justice and equity needs to be addressed alongside a sustainability plan for the environment is the deforestation of rainforests in Indonesia.
There is a need for community-based approaches using pertinent information with incisive agendas supplementing the various general and prominent plans, such as the MDG’s now proceeding. The goal can be singular and consistent but we must be prepared for a certain level of particularity depending the on the society. Community involvement means policy-making power, and an active role in implementation. Moreover, this entails locals receiving thorough training and fair compensation for their work. Correspondingly, there must be positive cultural exchanges. Finally, there must be long-term public infrastructural investment.

Frequently however, issues arise amongst a community that need attention. In this essay I will outline and discuss some of these issues and the interventions, projects or programmes designed and used to tackle and combat them. The three models of intervention or, ‘Community Development’, I will discuss in this essay, "Social Planning", "Community Development", and "Social/Community Action", all have the same aim regardless of how it is accomplished and this is to improve and maintain the conditions which affect the lives of the community.
Environmental interventions are an important part in communities to improve the
The impact of the development on the environment and its resources should be understood in order to move forward towards a way to make the relationship between development, growth and the environment possible. From here the concept
Community development pulls together the idea of community and development. Many communities have failed to attain development due to lack of knowledge in the principles that need to be applied when pursuing developmental goals. The knowledge and application of the principles that define community development is fundamental for every development-oriented individual and practitioner since it puts the interested parties in the right track to sustainable development. A community by definition entails integration of various entities (human beings and environment) that make one unit called ‘community’ and in this unit there is interaction among human beings themselves, and human beings with the environment. Development on the other hand consists of improvements in the well being of citizens and the capacity of economic, political and social systems to provide the circumstances for that well being on a sustainable, long-term basis (Barder, 2012). Community development can therefore be defined as a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common economic, social, environmental, cultural and political problems. Community-based natural resources management (CBNRM) on the other hand is an approach under which communities become responsible for managing natural resources (forests, land, water, biodiversity) within a designated area (Donnay and Webbie, 2011). However the basis of CBNRM lies in the community development process where collective action is required to have an effective CBNRM program. CBNRM programs are implemented worldwide and they aim to spur rural development while improving natural resource management (Boggs 2000; World Wildlife Fund for Nature 2006). In...

Policies must be created before training can ensue. Health educators left with the task of achieving sustainable development should not micro-manage the process. Above all, community members must understand and appreciate how personal health impacts the environment, economy, and society at large.
With the development of urbanization, an increasing number of social problems have emerged. These problems will decelerate the urban development, however, there are many ways in which sustainable development can reduce the impact of these urbanization problems. “Sustainable development seeks to improve the quality of human life without undermining the quality of our natural environment” (Adams, W.M. 1999). Actually, sustainable development can partly solve the urbanization problems, for it can reduce the impact of the problems such as traffic jam, housing shortage and severe pollution, but it is difficult to completely solve these problems in a short time.
“Sustainable Development: At its heart, sustainable development is the simple idea of ensuring a good quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come. It is about living within the carrying capacity of the environment so that how we live, work and enjoy leisure activities, which do not harm or put undue pressures on the environment. It is about ensuring everyone has the opportunity to have a decent education, a quality environment that they take pride in, good health and a decent job (n.p, 2014)”
Participation can be seen as “the inclusion of a diverse range of stakeholder contributions in an on-going community development process, from identification of problem areas, to the development, implementation and management of strategic planning” (Schafft and Greenwood, 2003, p. 19).
First of all, build the construction of the legal system of sustainable development. Legislation related to sustainable development is sustainable development strategy that is specific, legalization of ways, implementation of legislation related to sustainable development is an important guarantee for the sustainable development strategy into implementation. Therefore, the establishment of sustainable development is an important aspect of the legal system, capacity-building for sustainable development. Sustainable development requires through the establishment and implementation of the legal system to achieve rational use of natural resources, so that the ecological destruction and environmental pollution under control and ensure the sustainable development of economy, society and ecology. Secondly, build the construction of the education system for the sustainable development. Sustainable development requires people to have a high degree of knowledge, sensible and long-term impact of activities on the natural and social consequences, and requires people to have high ethical standards, understanding of their lofty responsibilities towards future generations, consciously for the long-term interests of human society while sacrificing some immediate and local interests. This requires capacity building for sustainable development in developing education in line with the spirit of
