Life is more about mental and spiritual satisfaction than having money. After a certain period, the happiness of the inner soul is more important than having a bank balance. There are some steps people take when they love their job which increases their productivity. People try to make a schedule a night before they leave for the work. Since the inception of civilization, people have dedicated themselves to certain practices to obtain needed supplies. With the advancement of society, these practices have specialized into roles that society needed and have become jobs and careers. With these jobs and careers, people have struggled to find a difference between the two, if there is one. However, the two are very different. There are a multitude of differences between a job and a career, but the most distinct differences being the necessary skill, and dedication needed.
Have you ever been in a position where you where stuck and couldn’t decide between two careers? Whether it was something that you love to do or something that pays well? The answer may seem easy to you but when you start comparing the facts; that’s when it gets hard to choose. For many of us, graduates and people around the world have a difficult time choosing a career that can be a confusing process. A lot of people tend to settle down on a career quickly. Unfortunately, choosing a rapid occupation often leads to an unsatisfying path in the future, if not sooner. Eventually the individual decides to quit and start all over again. According to choosingacareer.net, “6% of workers over the age 50 are in the process of changing a career, resumes mailed to companies’ staffing departments only accounts for 3% of hires nationwide, and 95% of human resources managers and 95% of job seekers depend on personal contacts and networking to fill and find openings.” (choosingacareer.net) Choosing a career takes time and research, so it’s better to plan your future than rapidly pick one. Although some people claim they are happy with the career they chose of the bat, choosing a career carefully is much more effective because in the long run you will feel content and appreciate more with the choice you made.
With this in mind having a nice amount of money saved away bring peace of mind through financial security. As well as being able to indulge yourself in many more activities and costly items. With a higher paying job and longer hours you can also afford a much better retirement and have more money to spend on family. Both types of jobs have a distinct difference from the income, hours and to the future of your career and life.
In a world where every individual desires to acquire money, prosper, and make a life for themselves nevertheless no part of my being aspires any of it. My life's work wants nothing more than to help other people because at the end of the day, my long list of people I have helped will be worth more than your money. The way I grew up, I would have been the same way as everyone else, but it was with the experiences I have gone through along with my favorite movie, book, quote, historical figure, and my very own personal hero which all single handedly helped mold me to the person I am glad to be today.
What a person does to make a living often defines who that person is. Because so much time and energy is invested into work, work is often seen as an extension of oneself. One of the first questions that someone asks after meeting you for the first time is about what you do for a living. The belief is that by knowing what you do, one should be able to tell something about who you are. People almost never ask the more telling question of whether or not you are happy. They rely on the nature of the occupation to tell them something about your happiness. If you are a doctor, lawyer, or celebrity, it is assumed you are happy because of the money associated with those occupations. For some, income is a determinate of happiness. Granted, money is a major determinant, but not the only determinant of happiness. Happiness on the job is better determined by the support to values that a job provides.
What made the final decision for the career you chose for yourself? Is it something you are passionate about doing? Was it the money? Well what if you could take an assessment test of your skills and see what career would be best for you? You don’t want to be stuck doing a job that you do not enjoy because you thought it paid well. Steger, Lori Deschene, and Keven wood describe what the joy of meaningful is to them.Life is what you make of it and it’s and up to you to decide what you will get out of it. Some people may work eight hour shifts Monday through Friday miserable, exhausted, depressed, unhappy, and under a lot of pressure and stress from their jobs. Others may do the same, similar, or different jobs being comfortable, happy with life, and pleased with their job position. Your job should be one of the most important things to you because you are there on average forty hours a week and most of your time is spent there. It should be important that you enjoy what you do because it is practically your second home. Meaningful work is a job you enjoy doing, are compassionate about, never tired of, and do for the fulfillment of yourself , it is important to success because if one enjoys what they do opportunities in their career path will only expand.

One can feel successful without a lot of money at all. For example, feeling loved is something that makes everyone happy.
