Introduction
For this paper, the non-governmental organization I chose to represent was Partners in Health. Partners in Health was started in 1987 in Boston ("Our History | Partners In Health”). “Partners in Health’s mission is to provide healthcare options to people in need. Partners in Health is building long-term relationships with sister organizations, to achieve two goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.” (“Our Mission | Partners In Health”).
This is an important issue because non-governmental organization like Partners in Health change the world for the better by providing healthcare to the people and communities in need. Partners in health started helping people in Haiti and later expanded their cause to around the world. ...Currently, there are no other alternatives, but since the emergence of cloud computing it has already started evolving. CIO’s Florentine suspects that cloud computing will be more software based rather than hardware based in the years to come.(Florentine, & Olavsrud, 2013).
Conclusion and Recommendation
Even though cloud computing is still an emerging technology there are many benefits to our organization by adopting this technology. For instance, the reduction of operational cost, the ability to access data from any network and device, and the ability to upgrade and downgrade with ease whenever needed. Looking at the statistical data from companies that have adopted this technology, I think Partners in Heath should adopt Cloud computing. It think it is the perfect technology to solve our financial problems, as well as adding several benefits mentioned earlier.
