For many people, the most beautiful houses are the first factor to choose before you make a decision to live in. You may think about the houses are good functions, large spaces, many rooms, and convenient transportation. For example, birds built their own homes in the trees because they need good places where they can protect themselves from predators. They also need is a good location for habitation. For me, my home is not just a house. It signifies past, where I grew up, and became an adult.
First of all, home is where my history began. Many years ago, my parents met each other at the same school because they studied at the same level and major. Thus, after their graduated, they have been in a relationship together since. In my hometown,

My mother was always busy in the morning because she worked many things with my house, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and so on. My father regularly raised the farm, grew crop, and fed the pets. My mother often created a house I originally have lived in. My parents remain in love forever, and they are not strangers to live with. My brother is the best friend ever since I have lived with. For many reasons, my parents leave to work in the business city, and my brother studied at higher education away miles from home. In my high school, I had the freedom to learn many things, and my family could trust and rely on me. After I graduated from high school, I was a lucky enough person to have a chance study abroad. I am one member of the Thai scholarship recipients who want to learn different languages. I study overseas in United States of America. This was the most important thing that I made my family proud of me. Also, I help save money for my family by being able to support myself while I am away. For many reasons, I have been faced with many problems, and I deal with them by myself. For example, I was low skills in learning English as a second language. I was anxious dealing with culture shock while I live in different culture. My family always encourages me improve my skills to become more mature. We use technology devices to connect by Facebook, Line, and Skype. My mother is worried about my health because I easily become sick. However, she advises me to get regular exercise, and eat healthy foods. I think my mother still remain worried about me all the time. In addition, my father becomes a talkative person when I call him. He always said that he want to see me soon. I was glad to have the both of them as parents. I do not know what I would do without their
Living in an apartment building it’s like you have to share with other people and you can’t keep any noise because the people next to you or downstairs can hear you. Also you can’t have a barbeque or a party because there is no space to have it. When you live in an apartment building this view is high because you are sitting on the balcony of the 10th floor. Living in a house the view is nice and it’s right there because you can just step outside whenever you want. You can decorate it and if your house is big enough you can have a get together or a party. When u step outside or look out your window you see all these beautiful houses and the pretty flowers that my mom planted. It’s kind of hard to explain the feeling when I stepped into this house; it was like stepping into a mansion. I was so happy and I enjoyed the house because it was such a perfect place to be for when it got warmer. My mom and I would just sit outside our porch whenever we felt like it and we would just sit and have a nice conversation, sometimes I would read a book or listen to music outside instead of being in the house all day. Living out here is a comfortable place to live and to be in because we feel like we didn’t have
Through films such as West Side Story and Rent, we understand that the notion of home is not constant. Rather than home being the physical place, it is instead the comfort derived from the select few individuals who are like-minded and supportive. Through struggles and heartbreaks, the most reliable home is the people in our lives who are closest to us.
My home is my haven and the place that I feel the safest and most comfortable at. It is where many good memories and feelings arise and I am able to be myself with no false pretenses. It is my “Home Sweet Home” yet the stories “Young Goodman Brown,” by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and “Soldier’s Home,” by Ernest Hemingway show a different attitude about home going and the effects it has on the main characters.
The home is the most satisfying material that a person can own. A home is a place where one can go to rest, eat, and just live. A home provides memories and a place for a family to grow. Being in a similar condition, she understood how I felt. Because she was older than me so she was in a higher grade. She had passed all of those obstacles I was facing. I receivedmanyuseful advices thathelped me to start thinking for myself again. She told me that this is my life and everything depends only on myself. Parents can make the suggestion but they are not responsible to make the decision. I argued to her that my parents would not listen to me and only keep talking about their desires. She said I was wrong and asked me whether I have ever face my parents and speak sincerely to them about my dream. I realized from her words that I had never did something like talking to my parents maturelywith reasons. I took her advices, went to the conversation with my parents, and it was great. They finally accepted my decision and allowed me to choose whatever I want for my future. Finally, I continuedto study at Patumwan Demonstration School for the language
A definition of home has no correct answer. Each individual's meaning is different. I associate home with feelings of comfort, security, and love. Webster's Dictionary defines home as "a place where we live, a place of residence (w...
It is my memory of first year in the United States. Back then, I was a between 16 and 17 years old girl who would be called, ‘fob,’ which means ‘fresh off the boat.’ I was quite shy, not fluent in English, exotic looking and nervous but excited at the same time. Coming to the U.S. all by myself, leaving behind familiar culture, friends and family was quite challenging at such a young age, but I was all ready to endure hardship and obstacles of language barrier, cultural difference and loneliness. However, the trouble that pushed me into the well of suffering that I could not see the bottom came from the most unexpected source. It was my host family; they were white with a middle-class background, living in a rural area. They seemed like nice and friendly people at first. They brought me and my roommate to various events and places where I can learn American culture, helped me learn English, taught us the basic manner accepted in the U.S. and even celebrated my birthday. Nevertheless, they had a contradicting side as well. The family had eccentrically strict house rules which gave us heavy house chore, and eventually it led them to treat my roommate and me like housekeepers in the
A home for me is not a house. A house is just a building that you fill
Home is a term that is used throughout the world as the place where one lives.
The feeling of security that was so pure. It became a reminder of a time when everything was simple and it was so easy to find happiness in the most unexpected ways. I remember considering myself lucky whenever my mother would indulge in my pleas to play the piano. Never would have I thought that listening to the notes of “Send In the Clowns” or a song from Forrest Gump could give me so much joy. Another fond memory was our parents allowing my siblings and I to play in the rain. Being given permission to do so was already a big thing for us. To be able to enjoy such a simple act is something I hold unto. This house is the symbol of my childhood innocence and a life unmarred by worries. This is the place where I 've felt contentment in its most basic
It also provides the emotional link that I need to relax and a sense of comfort behind the closed doors of my home. I feel that these are the bricks that should be laid in every home and should be remembered in order to truly know what a home is or should be. I believe the feelings that are attached to me being at home do not come with a price tag, but it provides me with the different resources I need to help to shape my environment. Ultimately, things such as comfort, pleasure and a sanctuary are priceless within the walls of a
There were many instances in my life that have shaped my values, intellect, and academic or career goals. I was raised by my parents to become a hard worker, independent, and caring young adult. I was taught how to be all these qualities by a combination of experiencing and witnessing them first hand.
As a young adult lady, I grew up always being told how perfect I truly was, I grew up with the unconditional support of both my parents and a strong center in family orientation. I was blessed with these luxuries and I am forever thankful. Although I control the outcome of my life and I control my thought processes and social behaviors, my family has a big impact on how I carry myself and the aspirations I set for myself. Having a supportive family makes my life easier to endure during rough patches in my life and easier to reach my goals. I’ve endured the heartaches and the painful memories, but I am never alone in my pain. I think my family is the direct cause of my naturally elevated confidence during this vulnerable phase in my life, Although I do not want to give the perception of perfection but this mindset has helped me get through the toughest patches and come out on top, it has helped me dispatch from friends when needed and form positive inferences on how healthy relationships are suppose to look like. All families have some type of unique dysfunction, the dysfunction helps with the development of “ lessons learned”. Every family has different dynamics, some are smaller, some are big, some are closer than others. The only similarity that remains is that they all make an impact on a child 's mental, physical and
