Good morning I am very honored to be standing here today to talk about such an important event memorial day.memorial day is a remberence it's also a day when we put aside our difference and come together as one and remember the people how fought for us to be free. A man by the name of Joseph Campbell once said “ A hero is someone who has given His or her life Do something bigger than oneself. The service members that we as Americans honored today come from all over the word but they all share the same qualities. They all Possess courage, pride, Selflessness, and integrity. All of these attributes are used to serve a cause much bigger than oneself. Our veterans helped make our country the best country, which is known for fact.Today, because of our veterans I’m proud to say that every citizen has the right to speak and share their voice no matter what their race is. In some countries, there are still racial conflicts and all races.I am also proud to say that every child in America,no matter what their race is, they can have a free education. Most children in other countries are not allowed to go to school because they can’t afford it instead, they go to work
A hero is someone you look up to, someone who has done something to inspire you, someone who is your role model. In our society, there are many different types of heroes—family, friends, teachers, firefighters, and police officers to name a few. But a hero that stands out to me is a U.S. soldier. Soldiers risk their lives every day just so we can have our freedom.
The memorial grew out of a need to heal the nation's wounds as America struggled to reconcile different moral and political points of view. In fact, the memorial was conceived and designed to make no political statement whatsoever about the war. The Memorial is a place where everyone, regardless of opinion, can come together and remember and honor those who served. By doing so, the memorial has paved the way towards reconciliation and healing, a process that continues today.
When you look into veterans eyes, you can see several things that are important. The pride shines through, the pride of serving ones country, and the dedication to protect other peoples freedom even it if requires paying the ultimate price. These men and women give their lives to give us our freedom. As a one of the many individuals that they are protecting it is vital that we see that pride and appreciate where it comes from.
America’s veterans should be honored because they have suffered through so many hardships that others could not and have not survived, and they did it for their country that they loved and still love today.
...volving death and separation. Children within the United States whose parents serve in the military are left to deal with issues of separation and fear. The fear of not knowing when their parents are coming home, and if they’ll come back the same person they were when they left. Since we are incapable of hiding violence and the act of war from children, it is better to help them understand the meaning behind it and teach them that violence is not always the answer. Children react based on what they see and hear, and if the community and world around them portrays positive things, then the child will portray a positive attitude as well.
Veterans day means a day for us to thank the ones who have served in the military and war. Sacrificing every moment of their lives to defend our country. The Veterans have a significant importance everywhere. Whatever the reason is for them serving our country we should appreciate them for all their work. Veterans day was created because World War I ended . Fighting and wars did not end and are still going on and there are still Veterans out here today. Veterans day is a day to celebrate ones who were in war. Not to be confused with Memorial day , memorial day is when we celebrate the ones who died serving. I chose the easy route of interview my grandpa (Dean Randel) who served in World War II as flight deck operator that signaled the aircrafts and got them ready for flight. He was station in San Diego on the USS Wisconsin which was of course a aircraft carrier. As I grew up he always told me stories of the good times he had with buddies and just living the good life. This is a first for me to sit down one on one with him and hear about what went on. Before I could even get a word in my grandpa ask me, “Do you know how Veterans Day was brought about?” I was so shock he was into doing this that I just shut my mouth and listened. He continued by saying in 1921, an American soldier -his name "known but to God "-was buried on a Virginia hillside overlooking the Potomac River and the city of Washington, DC. The burial site of this unknown World War I soldier in Arlington National Cemetery symbolized dignity and pride for all American veterans. Similar ceremonies occurred earlier in England and France, where an "unknown soldier” was buried in each nation’s highest place of honor (I later researched and found out it was in England, Westminster Abbey; in France, the Arc de Triomphe). These memorial gestures all took place on November 11, giving universal recognition to the celebrated ending of World War I hostilities at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month). The day became known as "Armistice Day.”Armistice Day of...
They who serve that we may enjoy the best America has to offer; FREEDOM AND PEACE AT HOME. Those who choose to serve in the ranks of our military do so voluntarily. Some first join to help pay for school. Some join in the pursuit of learning a job skill for when they return to the comfort of home and family. Others join because it was their childhood dream to take up the Profession of Arms. But whatever their reason they all volunteered to provide a necessary service to America and in so doing extended that service to the rest of the world. This service is manifested in providing comfort to our own citizens suffering from the devastation of Katrina two years ago to the current events which unfolded in the wild fires in California. They also brought hope and comfort to peoples of other nations such as the people who suffered in the earthquakes in Pakistan and those areas devastated by the tsunami a few years before. From the deadly beaches at Normandy, to jungle warfare in South Vietnam, the vast deserts of Iraq, or the hillsides of Bosnia-Herzegovina ... the American service men and women have contributed the brunt of the force required to provide sanctuary and hope for the weak and oppressed. Those veterans have answered the nations calling and have done and continue to do so proudly.
Summary: This week was a shorten week due to the Memorial Day holiday. My goal this week was to continue the work on the Executive presentation and related findings of the OP process.

Veteran’s day is a reflection of the peace and the warrior culture in the United States. While peace cultures strive for tolerance and positive peace, warrior cultures focus on aggression and domination and this Day demonstrates how both cultures are engrained in the American society.
First, I want to dedicate the veteran’s for always protecting our freedom by fighting against other countries mostly,are actually everyday.Hero’s always do what’s right for their country.A lot of veteran’s lose their lives just for us.Veterans are brave because they risk their lives for us so we won’t have any problems with other countries.I think they get ready by practicing with their group
Memorials are the way we honor those who had died after doing something great. To show we will always remember and make sure others who come or grow up in this country know what they did that had and effect on our country today. Who ever we build a memorial for are those we think deserve it. It has to be almost be a fact that they did something to help everyone and that everyone is thankful for that. It can’t be just anyone from the streets that touched a handful of people’s lives. It can’t be a famous person just because everyone knows of them. They had to have done something that changed, touched, and affected all of our lives. It can’t be for our best friends despite how much we think they deserve it.
