Leadership Assessment Results of Questionnaire Northouse (2016) offers a Skills Inventory Questionnaire to assess which skills and traits leaders exhibit strengths and weaknesses in. This questionnaire determined I have the most strength in technical skills with a score of 28. This did not come as a surprise to me as I have implemented many technological advances since beginning at my agency 6 years ago and am consistently called upon to solve technological crises. Northouse mentions that leaders with high technological skills are seen as more credible and can offer innovative solutions to problems which I have experienced in my career (2016). In human skills, I scored a 26 which indicates that I am a “people person” (Northouse, 2016). I have always tried to maintain great relationships with my coworkers and colleagues. After looking over these competencies and doing a self-assessment I feel I have demonstrated strength in communication and relationship building working as part of an interdisciplinary team for the past 6 years. Another strength is knowledge of the health care environment, throughout my nursing career I have consistently gone to symposiums and conferences in order to stay up to date on the current clinical guidelines. I am also a part of the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association, which is my specialty at my work. Professionalism, which AONE explains as personal and professional accountability, ethical issues and advocacy (AONE, 2015) is another area that I have had a great deal of experience. Working with intellectually disabled individuals has caused me to learn a great deal about advocating for those without a voice and many times there are ethical dilemmas that we are forced to deal
