Overall, hero stories endure because they are entertaining and allow readers to escape from everyday lifes pain and sorrow.

Hero journeys bring creativity and imagination to life as the readers embark on the journey rights alongside the characters. The readers could be the soldiers, the princess, the monster, or even the hero, but each time the book is opened the readers are transported into the story. While reading the book everyday problems cease to exist. How could someone be worrying about the boy that likes them when their whole village is about to be destroyed by a dragon? The novels keeps everyone on the edge of their seats waiting to see what will happen next. They are exciting, action packed books, that allow the audience to leave behind the headache of everyday life, even for just a few minutes a day. …show more content…

Though this is not entirely correct, it is very similar to the belief of the excitement of the novels. Being inside the novel the reader's experience the greatness and hardships of the journey. When the hero kills the dragon it gives humanity hope in life. People can have the mindset that if they can kill a dragon then passing this test will be easy. Though the beliefs are similar it has many downsides. During all hero journeys the hero has some sort of hardship. In portions of the book the hero is unbeatable making the reader feel just as strong. But what happens when the hero loses? The reader feels as though they have lost. Just like when the hero wins the audience feels they can do anything, but when the hero loses they feel defeated and powerless. The hero's journey does inspire at moments of goodness, but saying the whole book is inspirational is incorrect because the audience does not feel inspired in the heroes moments of
