To me a close friendship is one that knows you on the deepest level just as Aristotle says. It takes time to know a person and it doesn’t just happen over night. A close friendship would be an individual that is there for you when you need them whether it is for good things or bad things. For example, my close friend and I have known each other for ten years and she’s probably the trust worthy, and most of all they accept you even with all the flaws that I have. A close friend to me is someone I can trust, someone I can go to when I need their advice and I know they’re going to give me an honest opinion. I believe in order for a close friendship to start you both have to have something in common, and from there you share each other interests. A close friend is someone who stands by the others side and any given time regardless of the circumstances. People in today’s society search to find that close bond that will ultimately last till the end. Unfortunately, a true close friendship isn’t something …show more content…
That being said a close friendship, the highest level, manages to enhance a special meaning to life. They are there to help you up through the most difficult times, but they’re also there to share the good ones. There is multiple ways a friendship benefits to your life and one of those would be improving one 's mood. Happiness is something that works hand in hand with friendship and when you spend time with those happy and positive people your overall mood tends to increase. Another reason would be, they tend to give you a boost on your self-worth that meaning that friendship are there for you regardless of what is going on and with that it adds a purpose to life because you know you aren’t alone. Also, it is a two way street you can 't both be taking something and giving back nothing so when it works as a both give and take contribution the overall sense of happiness has reached its highest
GUIDE TO HYPNOSIS HOW TO GUIDE SOMEONE INTO HYPNOSIS: NOTE THAT I SAID GUIDE, YOU CAN NEVER, HYNOTISE SOMEONE, THEY MUST BE WILLING. OK, THE SUBJECT MUST BE LYING OR SITTING IN A COMFORTABLE POSITION, RELAXED, AND AT A TIME WHEN THINGS ARENT GOING TO BE INTERRUPTED. TELL THEM THE FOLLOWING OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO IT, IN A PEACEFUL, MONOTINOUS TONE (NOT A COMMANDING TONE OF VOICE)
By definition a friend is a person who provides assistance and support. We have different groups of friends for different purposes in our lives. Although there are many different categories of friends, Marion Winik author of “What are Friends For?” mentions that some of the more common groups consist of the faraway, work, family, and former friends (132). We keep our friends because we value their loyalty, communication, support, and dependability.
I would define friendship as complete trust and love between two people. Many people believe that this kind of behavior is reciprocated between two individuals without any expectations. A friend is someone who also provides you with support and whom you can rely on to celebrate special moments with. A friend also comes with many great attributes; such as loyalty, honesty, compassion, trust, and morality. Today’s friend is viewed as someone who shares happiness, common values, history, and equality with another. For example, Aristotle and Cicero both wrote dialogues about friendship and its significance on mankind. Therefore, the key issues that will be discussed are: their views on the similarities of friendship, the differences between friends,
In the best –selling novel the Maze Runner, James Dashner has developed many meaningful and complex themes. From all these various themes, I believe the main motive and message of the story is how friendship can help us pass the hurdles and obstacles in life and help us achieve success. The novel, the Maze Runner displays tremendous amounts of friendship and strong bonds between characters in the society. The novel written by James Dashner demonstrates the importance of friendship in life. In the Maze Runner strong bonds and exceptional friendship were created in many events, but the relation between Chuck and Thomas, the bond between Teresa and Thomas and the relations amongst all the Gladers working together showed a really deep meaning of companionship. These relationships are what allowed them to collectively pass the hard obstacles in their way and obtain their ambition.
Maintaining a True Friendship Making friends for a lot of us comes naturally, but maintaining these friendships may become somewhat difficult. This is because true friendship cannot survive without these three aspects: Love, Respect and Honesty. If any of these aspects are lacking in the friendship, it will slowly disintegrate. True friendship needs equal shares of love, respect, and honesty. Therefore, to maintain true friendship, you need the whole package, just not part of it.
“The silver friend knows your present and the gold friend knows all of your past dirt and glories. Once in a blue moon there is someone who knows it all, someone who knows and accepts you unconditionally, someone who is there for life.” This is a quote I read once in an article by Jill McCorkle. I wrote it down and posted on my wall. McCorkle’s description of a “gold friend” describes a friendship that I have with a group of girls who mean the world to me.
Friendship is an interpersonal relationship between two people that is mutually productive and can be characterized by mutual positive regard. Friendship should enhance the potential of each person involved and should only be productive. You must like each other in order to call it a friendship, and
Friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. Ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray us. Friends can tell harsh truths when they must be told. There are four different types of friends: True friends, Convenient friends, Special interest friends, and historical friends. To have friendship is to have comfort. In times of crisis and depression, a friend is there to calm us and to help lift up our spirits.
You share a deeper level of interaction and communication with your social circle. People in your social circle know more about your personal life and you manage to catch up with each other once in a while and talk as if time has not passed by, even after months of being away from each other. Your social circle will support you no matter what your endeavors are and want to spend extra time with you. The friends in your social circle, share the same common interests and enjoy learning deeper aspects of your life. You can tell the difference between an acquaintance and a social friend because social friends are so happy when you are happy, even if they are not completely fond of or completely agree with all of your decisions in your life. A social friend is someone who may ask for favors, but will also complete favors for you in return. They may need something, or talk to you about a problem they are facing, but they in return ask you about your problems and try to assist you. True friends are those who really spend time with you, enjoy long one-on-one talks with you, and enjoy visiting your
The second category of friends I call "social partners." This is because they are closer than acquaintances, but no where near as close as a true friend. Social partners are usually acquaintances who evolve into "guest friends" through increased extracurricular activities. You know their name, a little of what they like or dislike, a little of their family history, and usually have several things in common. As the saying
Most beautiful kindred of all of humans are the companionship. Without excitement, confusion, tangles and commitment life becomes a cake-walk if people have a hand of a friend to hold on. Can everyone imagine if there is no friendship in the world? Nobody will care about one another. Friends are the pillars of strength that give support and comfort in life "A hedge between keeps friendship green”. Friendship is the one of the medium that can build unity among community. As Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of United States, once said, “Friendship is the only cement that will hold the world together”, I strongly agree to his statement because friendship teach to help one another, learn to accept each other and build trust and faith towards each other.
Friendship is a relationship that all the individuals can create by themselves. Though it is not a god gifted relationship like that of the relationship of a mother, father, sister, brother or any of the other family but still it is one of the best relations an individual can possess. People who have true friends consider themselves as the luckiest individuals on earth.
Friendship is one of the most important things you can get out of life. It’s something that everyone has to have because without it, we would all go insane. Just think if no one talked to each other and we never made friends, this world would be a ticking time bomb. Studies say humans need friendships and love to survive. So friendship is a big part of your life.
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
Imagine a life where friendship didn’t exist, where there wasn’t anyone to go to when facing those difficult times that challenge our independence, forcing everyone to step up and face the reality of life alone. A life without friendship is like being left alone on a hot, lonely desert with no one around to help. The feeling of loneliness coming down in tears is the perfect example of a life without friendship. The quote by C.S. Lewis can bring many different meanings to mind, but the true meaning lies within, and is up to everyone to determine their own. Friendship is that glue that holds our lives together and offers that warmth and happiness, that is felt which reassures the fact that in reality friendship has more value then could ever be imagined. The world today has changed rather dramatically from the way was t before, when everyone took on life’s challenges by themselves, now we are lucky enough to have those people that offer support every step of the way. Friendship is a vital tool that helps even the bravest people get through the obstacles life throws on the path toward...
