I have elected to write my tentpole film analysis on the action adventure sequal “The Hunger Games Catching Fire” which stars Jennifer Lawrence as the hero Katniss. High concept, easily understood storylines: The plot of the movie fits a classic tentpole film theme a super hero fights against all odds, good vs evil, oppressive government vs. powerless people, wealth & decadence vs. poverty & despair, a battle to death. There is also a certain sadness in the film as the tributes fight for everything that they believe in. As seen in this movie clip when one of the contestants tells Katniss make them pay for it youtube clip. Collins states that she drew inspiration “from the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur.
