The Human Impact on Rainforests
Human Impact on Rainforest is it a necessity? Rainforest are the
beautiful gift of Mother Nature. It consists of the most magnificent
species and plants in the world. 4.2% of the world’s animals live in
the rainforest. This statistic it self shows how bad it would be to
destroy such essential part of the worlds biodiversity. Nevertheless
there are still huge advantages of deforestation. But does this mean
2.47 acres of rainforest should be destroyed every single second? This
mean every second of the day size of two football field is lost
forever.
Rainforests are the most productive and most complex ecosystems on
Earth. Amazon rainforest alone produces 20% of the world’s oxygen.
Therefore, the consequences of destroying it will be very harsh on us
humans. If we take the resources such as wood from the rainforest, for
our everyday use now, we will be the ones suffering in long term.
Rainforest use to cover 14% of our earth, and now its left with only
6%.
From looking at the rainforest from different perspective actually
tells us a lot. For example a poor farmer would be interested in
clearing the forest since it would provide food for his family, the
land would be extremely helpful to him he can live there, as well as
have economic security. The poor farmers do these because they are in
desperate need. They have no choice left, in addition they don’t know
ho badly they are harming the ecosystem they are not educated. Who can
blame them for doing this, is anyone educating them stopping them
giving them space to live and feed their families? The answer is no,
therefore they are taking th...

It was because of causes such as failures of leadership and extremism on both sides that led to the un-inevitable American war – the Civil War. Although many major events occurred that ultimately led to the Civil War, the war could have been avoidable with proper, effective leadership and less extremism that very often ended in violence. The South had many grievances against the North while the North had its own complaints about the South as well. Initially, the Civil War was not fought for the main goal of abolishing slavery but to preserve the Union. The Civil War can be best contained and spoken of in the few words of Abraham Lincoln, “Malice toward none, charity for all…”.
For four years, Americans fought against one another on the battlefield. This war would come to make up the bloodiest war in American history. Over the four years, over 620,000 soldiers died in the conflict. This war became one the most traumatic event in American History. Since the beginning of colonization to the 1860’s, the people in this country were slowly being divided. From 1850 to 1861, it was apparent that the union was separating into the North and the South and battle was soon to follow. With this division, peace could not continue amongst the country, for the country was filled with problems that affected the common Americans. With the events that led up to the war, the South felt like they had every reason to secede from the United States of America. The divided economies of the North and South in addition to the conflicting cultures are what caused the Civil War.
In conclusion, due to economic, social, political differences between the North and the South and with territorial expansion, all of this added in causing the Civil War. During the early 1860s, the Civil War of America was a major conflict between the Union, and the Confederate of States. The United States was divided into the North and the South because of economic differences, and different lifestyles. The North was become industrialized at a very fast rate and focused more on city life. The South, in contrast, was still an agricultural society which depended mostly on cotton and slavery. There was so many reasons caused the Civil War to happen and it was an inevitable war.
The natural resource of wood is being used at an unsustainable rate, with minimal effort to change societal views on the depletion of this valuable natural resource. Much of the wood we use today comes from old-growth tropical forests, and in many regions it is harvested illegally. Recently in England, it was revealed that the major department store, Marks&Spencers, made much of its garden furniture out of Nyato wood which was logged illegally from Indonesian rainforests. Looking at this problem from a micro-level orientation, we can clearly see how the actions of individuals in both Britain and Indonesia affect one another.
The Amazon Rainforest or know to many as the “Amazon Jungle” sits on about 2.124 million miles2 and is home to about 10 million species of animals and over 40,000 different plant species. Not including over 2.5 million different insect species. The amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest on earth. The Amazon rainforest is located in South America , it covers much of northwest Brazil and extends into Colombia,Peru and other countries. Part of the Amazon Rainforest is the River that flows through South America and is a big part of the Amazon Rainforest. The Amazon is the seventh oldest rainforest in the world and has existed for about 55 years.
The Civil War is a war that divides our nation slavery is one of the most believed reasons for the start of the war truth is there were many conflicts leading over many issues between the North and South. One of the biggest reasons was the Issues included States’ Rights and disagreements over tariffs.
Deforestation has accumulated many multifaceted controversies over time. The main one, however, is the impact deforestation has on water flow. People have different perceptions on how deforestation affects the flow of water, this lead to a controversy between conservationists and a group of theorists. Many years ago, water was used as a way for almost all the mills to function. Changes in the ecosystem depend on the rate and extent of deforestation and determines how drastic the changes will be.
Rainforests once covered 14% of the worlds land surface, however now it only covers a mere 6%. It is estimated that all rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. Trees are becoming more needed and used everyday. We need them cut down for many reasons such as paper and timber, while also needing them ‘untouched’ for other reasons like oxygen, we have to ask ourselves, which is more important? At the current rate, most of the rainforests are being cut down for resources like paper and timber, but less importance is being placed on main resources like oxygen.
In the eighteen hundred, many Americans desired to determine the outcome of political conflicts via compromise. However, this did not seem possible in the mid-nineteenth century. Throughout both the north and the south, people had different ideas on how these disputes should be settled, thus causing the Civil War.
In South America lies the largest and most wondrous rainforest in the world, the Amazon Rainforest. This 1.4 billion acre forest represents over half of the planets remaining rainforests, and comprises the largest and most bio-diverse tract of rainforest in the world. Ten percent of all known species on the planet are found in this rain forest, most of which have yet to be discovered. For the past century, the Amazon has been gradually decreasing in size due to agricultural expansion, ranching, infrastructure projects, energy exploration and illegal logging. At its current state, the Amazon is losing land equal to the size of the state of Delaware every year. The destruction of this forest releases 340 million tons of carbon per year according to the World Wildlife Foundation, or WWF, which in turn cause climate changes everywhere around the world. Undiscovered species can hold the key to curing a plethora of diseases, but if those species become extinct those keys are lost forever. If nothing is done to prevent this, the world’s treasure trove of bio-diversity will cease to exist, creating irreversible damage to not only the South American people but also the rest of the world.
The Civil War, known to be one of the bloodiest wars in the United States, has been a significant factor in the American history. The issues that caused this gory battle between the citizens of the country had been brewing since the nation was formed. Four years of fighting caused about 2% of the populations’ lives. Lives were killed in the field, many dead from illnesses, some wounded, and others taken as prisoners. In retrospection, the Civil War seemed to be inevitable, but there were a few major factors that led to the war. Some of the most important causes Southerners listed for the war were the economic differences between the North and the South, the states' rights, and the issue of whether states would be slave or free.
One of the causes of the civil war was slavery .the south was for slavery and the north was against slavery the south also wanted to expand salvery to the west were the north strongly apposed that the south also wanted to be independent and thought that it was about states rights the south also hugly understimated the north about how powerfull they were and how ong the war would last the south thought it may last a couple weeks at the most and it ended up lasting a couple years
The Amazon rainforest has a huge role not only in the forest itself but in our future and with the way we humans live. Daily, the Amazon provides the world with things such as medicines, fruits and nuts, spices, and of course some of the air that we breathe. The Amazon rainforest itself absorbs over two and a half billion tons of carbon dioxide a year. It also releases over two billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. With the deforestation of the Amazon increasing with time, less trees are being used to control the intake and outtake of the carbon dioxide. Other than releasing the carbon dioxide the rainforest also is responsible for twenty percent of earth’s oxygen. The Amazon additionally generates the hydrological cycle, which
Humans are the most dominate species on the planet occupying every continent on the planet. We thrive at a birth to death rate of about 250:105 every minute, making humans as a species grow exponentially. In order for Homo sapiens to prosper, it comes at the expense of other plants and animals. Due to the morals of humans, it makes it more difficult to kills animals than it does plants. Thus, making those green leaves an easy target. Every day, around the world, loggers and lumberjacks take down trees in order to create more room for us to flourish. At the same time, these logs can be used to create resources needed to carry on our lives. In order to obtain these resources, companies focus
Deforestation is destroying species. The Amazon Rainforest is home to about 50% of all species on earth. Many of these species are going to be in danger because their home is disappearing. Many acres of the Amazon Rainforest is destroyed every day. This means that everyday species who live on those acres lose their homes. When people want to clear land in the forest they can use a method called slash and burn. The slash and burn method clears big sections of land fast although it does not save any lumber. This method creates a large amount of carbon dioxide gas and this is no good for the animals. Many species will die if we continue doing what we are now.
