The Horse also known as the “Equus Caballus”, has had many meanings over the years. People today believe that horses are only meant to be pets or live on farms. Horses have been around for 55 million years and have been involved in some of this world’s most famous history. Did you know that horses could be used for many broad things in everyday life? For example, have you ever been to New York City and you seen a carriage being pulled by a horse while you were walking down the street? Or have you ever been to a farm and seen a horse pulling a cart filled up with hay? That is just a couple of examples of the many things horses are capable of. Due to lack of information given to us about horses unless we research, people need to be informed about various occupations a horse can have.

These are the main entertainment jobs that animal lovers involve themselves in the most. There are many movies with horses in them. For example, The Black Stallion (1979), Dreamer (2005), Secretariat (2010), and Black Beauty (1994). One circus that most are very familiar with is, The Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey. They have a plethora of horses that perform amazing acts. In the early 1900s Barnum and Bailey used 750 horses in performance and he Ringling Bros had 650 in performance. Horse racing is an Equestrian Sport (A rider or performer on horseback), involving two or more horses ridden by jockeys ( A person who rides in horse races). It became a popular thing in 1868. The last thing known to me and all texans are rodeos. Rodeos consist of many animal attractions, but the horse events are the most attractive. The main horses used in rodeos are, the Mustang, Quarter, Appaloosa, and the Palomino they are all used because of their strength and toughness. A rodeo horse is called a Bronc or a
