The Diary of Anne Frank
In September 1, 1939, World War II erupted. Following that, a horrific time in history came to be called the Holocaust. The Holocaust was started by a man by the name of Adolf Hitler, who despised Jewish people. By the end of the war there were more than 6 million Jewish people who had died (Documenting Numbers of Victims). One Jewish girl named Anne Frank, kept a diary this whole time, which in turn helped historians and other countless people understand what people went through at that time. The diary shows the unfortunate events inspired by racism. The historical context, The Diary of Anne Frank, shows that the Holocaust and more specifically, racism, is terrible. The diary of Anne Frank is a true, amazing story.

The Holocaust officially started January 30, 1933 – May 8, 1945, years before World War II started (The Holocaust). It was started by a man named Adolf Hitler who was Chancellor of Germany. He hated Jewish people, and so, he started consideration camps to “terminate” them. At these camps, men and women were separated, forced to shave their heads, give up all belongs, and got tattooed on a number. In the mornings, they were forced to stand in a line for hours, no matter the weather, to be counted. They were given moldy bread, watered down soup, sometimes imitation coffee. This often left to starvation and many deaths. After that, they would either work constantly, or be chosen to die. Sometimes they would be killed by guards, but most often they would be gassed, and burned. This was Hitler’s way of getting rid of them. In the Diary of Anne Frank, she said “If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of being doomed, will be held up as an example.” And that is exactly what happened. After the war, once the remaining few Jews were released, they were used as an example of racism. Which is exactly what the holocaust was inspired
January of 1933 the Nazis came to rule of Germany. Nazis believed that Germans were racially superior and seen Jews as a threat to their German racial community. Due to this reason, the Nazis created the Holocaust. The Holocaust is known as a time in history when Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazis and his collaborators killed to about six million Jews, through Genocide, Ethnic cleansing, deportation, and mass murder. But the point of this story is to tell the story of a young woman who I had the privilege to meet by the name of Anna Seelfreud Grosz who survived this tragic time in history.
The Holocaust could be best described as the widespread genocide of over eleven million Jews and other undesirables throughout Europe from 1933 to 1945. It all began when Adolf Hitler, Germany's newest leader, enforced the Nuremburg Race Laws. These laws discriminated against Jews and other undesirables and segregated them from the rest of the population. As things grew worse, Jews were forced to wear the Star of David on their clothing. The laws even stripped them of their citizenship.
The Holocaust began in 1933, when the Nazis were beginning to have the most political power in Germany. The leader of this political party was Adolf Hitler. Based on many historians, Hitler was the one who stared the Holocaust,
The Holocaust was a very sad time in the world. Holocaust was the killing of millions of Jews and other people by the Nazis during World War II. The Nazi who was an army, very powerful and claim control of Germany in January 1933. Their beliefs were that the Germans were the ‘’superior race’’ and that the Jews, deemed "inferior," were an alien threat to the so-called German racial community.
This would happen to be my report on what happened to Anne and her family while World War II was in action once it was converted to a play and a movie format. I'm sure they both these versions are much less graphic than Anne and her family saw it. I just hope Anne feels that they do her story justice. Both the play and film version of The Diary of Anne Frank focus on Anne Frank and her family's experiences in hiding. However, there are some similarities, including how Anne hands out presents to her family members and the other people in the Annex, and some differences, such as Anne and Peter's relationship and, Margot and Peter's relationship.
How would you feel if you were a Jew in World War II? Anne Frank was a Jew in World War II. The play we read was called the diary of Anne Frank. She said, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." According to the diary she believed in the quality in people even after hardships her family has endured. Anne Frank had to go into hiding from Hitler because he wanted to kill all of the Jews. He thought that they should not be allowed to practice their religion. Because of this, she had to go into hiding for two years. Here are some ways she showed her belief that people were good at heart. The first reason is she thought of different ways to make her family happy in the darkest of times. The second reason is Mr. Van Daan stole bread to feed himself. The third reason was she found someone to talk to even when she was trapped for two years. She was believing in everyone else as they were breaking down in fear.
The Diary of Anne Frank The setting for The Diary of Anne Frank is in a “Secret Annexe” in Amsterdam, Holland. Anne and her family are not the only people that are hiding in the “Secret Annexe,” the Van Daans live with them also. Anne draws a map in the book to show you a layout of the “Secret Annexe.” It’s pretty large, although with eight people living there, it’s quite crowded.
The Holocaust started in 1939. In that time period the Germans and the Allied Forces were in war. When they were in war the Germans took all Jews (except the ones in hiding) to multiple concentration camps and death camps. When they were sent to concentration camps they were ordered to take off all their jewelry, gold teeth and clothes. They were provided with stripped pajamas with numbers on them so they can be recognized by their number and not by their names. They were also tattooed on their left forearm with the same number that was on their stripped pajamas. Everybody’s head had to get shaved BALD. After everybody got to get concentration camps they were forced to go into the hard labor imme...
The Holocaust ended 70 years ago, it involved over 11 million deaths. Hitler blamed all Jews for everything wrong with Germany. The Holocaust was the mass murder of six million Jews and millions of others by the Nazis. They were taken to concentration camps where they were treated like animals. Before the concentration camps, their human rights were taken, and also making them wear gold stars to identify the Jews better and faster. The Jews were taken from camp to camp until they finally arrived to the deadliest camp of them all, Auschwitz. The Holocaust also lasted 12 years from January of 1933 to May 8 of 1945. It all started when Adolf Hitler came into power. The Holocaust should never be forgotten because first of all, there were too many deaths. Second, because they were innocent people who
History, however, generally identifies the Holocaust to be the series of events that occurred in the years before and during World War II. The Holocaust started in 1933 with the persecuting and terrorizing of Jews by the Nazi Party, and ended in 1945 with the murder of millions of helpless Jews by the Nazi war-machine. "The Holocaust has become a symbol of brutality and of one people's inhumanity to another." Resnick p. 11. The man responsible for the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler and his Nazi war machine.
The name “Anne Frank” is synonymous with hope, optimism, and belief in human good, even in times of relentless evil. Although she only lived to be fifteen, Anne is known and respected throughout the world for the humanistic light her work shed on an infamous time. Born June 12th, 1929, in Germany, she spent her early years in a middle-class Jewish-German family. However, the tranquility of the Frank family and 522,000 other German-Jews’ would be shattered by one of the most nefarious events in history, the Holocaust. Anne’s diary became an influential resource in understanding historical and emotional aspects of the Holocaust. Although she was young, Anne Frank is the greatest diarist of European history because she preserved a critical time in history, her work captured the human experience of the Holocaust, and her ideals of hope and optimism remain influential throughout our world today.
The Holocaust started January 30, 1933 and ended May 8th 1933, the holocaust was basically an onslaught on the Jewish people, and it was a terrible time for the Jewish people. But there were some of the Jews that decided that they didn’t want to be captive and didn’t want to be told what to do, so they started a resistance, both armed and unarmed.
Have you ever thought about the horrors of the Holocaust and what it was like? The Holocaust started when Adolf Hitler came to power and convinced people to hate Jews. Jews had been treated poorly even before the Holocaust, but they had never been murdered out of pure hatred. Before Hitler came to power he pushed anti- semitism into Germany. As Hitler’s hatred for the Jews spread citizens lashed out at Jews ( Jewish). The Holocaust was a terrible time when Hitler tried to eliminate Jews, Gypsies, and homosexuals and this must never be repeated.
The theme of the story “The Diary Of Anne Frank ” is that, learning to be adaptable with things can benefit your chance at survival. In the beginning of this story, It automatically shows this theme. “We must burn everything in the stove at night. This is the way we must live until it is over, if we are to survive.”(page 287). The two families had to burn every piece of trash they had, so that their hiding spot wouldn’t be discovered. They even had to sacrifice talking and making noise during the day to avoid being caught, and if the family was caught they would be sent to concentration camps or even die. This story continues to show this theme towards the middle as well. “I’m a man who’s always lived alone. I haven’t had to adjust myself to
Ever since my grandmother handed me her copy of Anne Frank’s diary during the summer of 2010, I was instantly hooked from just reading the first sentence of the prologue. It all started when my grandmother would just ask me if I happened to have any particular inspirational figures that I looked up to. Without even thinking, I immediately said my inspiration was my mother - just like any 10-year old girl would. Of course my mother still is an inspiring figure, but even 10-year old me noticed that I didn’t have a particular figure that I genuinely looked up to. After asking my grandmother what her inspiration was, she responded by handing me a brown book, titled “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Little did I know, that by reading this book I would come to realize the power of
