1.TOOTHPASTE
Toothpaste was invented sometime near 5000 B.C. By the Egyptians. Back then it was a powder like substance It was later redeveloped by the Greek and Romans. Later the Persians improved on the formulas that the Greek and Romans had created. In the 18th century British doctors,dentists,and chemists introduced a tooth powder called dentifrice.
I personally think that this is a good and important invention because without this there would be many problems. Starting with many tooth related problems such as cavities and tooth decay. Lets take a moment to see how far toothpaste has came. It started such a long time ago back when it was made from brick dust and crushed china to where now there is so many different types of toothpaste, for example: Tooth whitening , flavored, medicated, fluoride, and childrens.
2. CRAYONS
In 1644 Crayons were invented by the europeans. They were orgianally created with charcol and oil. Today crayons are created wit ha mixture of wax and colored dyes. Crayola, proboly the biggest manufacturee of crayons orgianally created their crayons in 1902 but did not realese them to the public until 1903.
Today you can go into almost any classroom and find a pack of crayola crayons. Throughout th e years there has been many different types of crayons. They have made washablle crayons,neon creayons, and even multi-colored crayons.

The lab experiment did prove that Crayola colors are not of pure substances but rather a mixture of specific color compounds needed to produce said colors. The experiment also proved that different color pigments have different densities (the lighter ones moved up the filter paper with the water, while the heavier ones adhered to the filter paper longer.)

To begin with, the Invention that Alexander Graham Bell is most remembered for is the telephone. I will explain the idea, how it works, and the story behind it. First, the harmonic telephone was just an idea till about the year 1874 when Mr. Bell started work on the phone to send multiple telegraph messages at one time. This device would take a telegraph line to transfer the human voice from one place to another. For this job he hired a man named Thomas A. Watson, electrical designer. Second, the way this machine works is that the transmitter was in one room with metal strings attached to the device. Which looked like a cone connected to metal strings. Those strings would stretch out of the room to a different room. In the other room the receiver was there this looked like an 8 ounce cup of water. These two things were the transmitter and receiver of the first telephone from 1876. Thirdly, the story behind the telephone made it even more special that Mr. Bell actually made the telephone in Canada and was never an American citizen yet got the protection of invention by the United States of America. The product I chose to research was Listerine mouthwash. Listerine was first invented as a surgical antiseptic in 1879 and later repositioned as an oral care product to dentists in 1895. Listerine was the first over the counter mouthwash sold in the United States in the year 1915. Since then the brand continued to expand its product line consisting of different types of mouthwashes targeting specific areas of oral concern. Listerine’s product mix is not limited to mouthwash, but also includes gel toothpaste, breath freshening strips and mouth freshening sprays.
Picture yourself with a toothache or someone with poor hygiene and knowing you cannot do anything to change it without a dentist. A dentist is specialized individual that treats the diseases and conditions that affect the oral cavity.

I would like to push back on the claim that a cavity is a disease, but I did find it interesting that fluoride fights against dental caries and I enjoyed that my attention was held up with the culprit of decay comes from sugar and bacteria from plaque.
In 1436 Johannes Gutenberg invented the Printing Press, which had a major impact on both the Renaissance and printing today, however there other movable type systems invented before Gutenberg’s Printing Press. There are a few inventors of printing systems before Gutenberg, the first being an inventor in China, the second being a Dutchman, and the third being inventor in Korea that developed a printing system around the 12th century. In 1041 Pi Sheng invented movable clay type in China, which is the first known printing system, however the first known printed book is thought to be Diamond Sutra, which was printed in China, in 868 CE. The movable type system invented in China never succeeded, as it was unmanageable, as the Chinese language is made up of many characters. Although Diamond Sutra is known to be the first printed book, it is thought that book printing may have occurred well before this date. Colgate is a high ranked oral hygiene company that produces toothpastes, mouthwashes, toothbrushes and dental floss that was founded in 1807 by William Colgate in New York City. In 1820, Colgate built their first starch factory in New Jersey. Years later, in 1857, the founder William Colgate death resulted in the company being passed down to his son Samuel Colgate. In 1864, Colgate collaborated with B.J. Johnson who founded the Palmolive Company. The Colgate-Palmolive Company began having much success in the late 1800’s with all of their new products such as hand soaps and the many different appearances of toothpaste from glass jars to collapsible tubes. In 1900, Colgate won top honors in Paris at the World’s Fair for their soaps and perfumes. Colgate was very successful internationally that they came established in Europe, Canada, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. After so many accomplishments internationally and locally, “Colgate-Palmolive Company” was officially the company’s name in 1953. By the late 1900’s, Colgate sold over 1.6 million toothbrushes annually and was serving over 56 countries and hits the $5 billion mark in sales. Despite the short amount of time since the introduction of the smartphone, the rapid development of the software and technology has had a tremendous effect on the everyday life of society today. The concept of communicating through a telephone was developed in the 1870s. Devices to transmit speech electrically were designed by Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell, but Bell's design was patented first. On March 10, 1876, Alexander Graham Bell achieved one of his greatest successes in the making of the telephone. This brought upon a major change in communication and gave leeway to the improvement of the telephone in the days to come (Bellis, 2013b).
