The Grinch Psychoanalytic Criticism.

Psychoanalytic criticism is best fit for this poem because this poem mostly bases itself

on morality to show the moral of the poem. The poem starts off isolating the Grinch from the

Whos, with his negative emotions towards the Christmas holiday. The Grinch is stated in the

poem to hate everything about Christmas even the food and decorations. Having this much

hatred for a holiday could explain that the Grinch had some kind of life changing event in the

past that has ruined Christmas. However, because he has begun to love Christmas so easily,
