Each and every person has a personality that is unique to that individual. Personality is formed through experiences both internally and externally. A combination of theories has been developed and brought out by many different theorist's in the attempt to understand what contributes to a person’s personality and behavior. Throughout life we have been able to see the differences in the contributing factors that play a substantial significant in one's personality. By assessing one’s development over the course of any given life we see that many different aspects are involved such as the biological, social, cultural, environmental and situational factors. One of the theorist's that brings a theory that contributes to the idea of the development behind one’s personality is Albert Bandura. He introduced what is called the modeling theory and we see that clearly from a character in the movie The Giver. His life and those within it reflects the ideas behind Albert Bandura’s theory. Jonas was able to understanding who he was as the receiver of memories and gained a better understanding of his abilities. For Jonas learned from his parents that they were not to question things, and that real life things that once were or said was no longer something relevant in their lives. This is something that Jonas was unaware of that he was following and modeled throughout his life, until after the Giver was able to show him the memories. Once the memories were received Jonas was able to model many of the things that he had seen. he was able to see into the past, from generations to generations of memories. Jonas was able to determine for himself what he liked about the memories and what he did not
