The Four Seasons is the best known of Antonio Vivaldi’s works. It is also one of the most popular classical that written for a group of four violin concerti, each capturing moods and gives a musical expression to a season of the year (No.1 Spring, No.2 Summer, No.3 Autumn and No.4 Winter). They were published in 1725 in Amsterdam. Vivaldi did a great job to translate the poems into his music. Antonio Vivaldi was born in 1678 in Venice, Italy, which is where he spent most of his life. His first music teacher was his father. His father taught him how to play violin, and they often perform together. Even after Vivaldi became a priest, he continued to practice and study violin. He was known as "The Red Priest" because of the color of his hair. In addition, Vivaldi also a music master and a teacher. He spent all of his time teaching and writing music. He taught at an orphanage, mostly girls. He even wrote a lot of music for the girls to perform, which is attracted people from all over Europe to come to hear his talented students perform the beautiful music he had written. Moreover, he also wrote church music, operas, concertos, and many other compositions. In all, Antonio wrote over 230 violin concertos. Vivaldi separated each concerto into three movements, fast-slow-fast. The first movement described spring has arrived and the birds joyfully celebrate the return of spring with happy song. Then, the sky is shrouded with a black canopy, which then pass into silence and the birds continues their happy songs.
