The movie Maleficent, which was recreated by Walt Disney Pictures, is not only intriguing visually, but also tells a story in which everyone could surely relate to. In the beginning Maleficent protects the land she calls her home (the Moors), and when she catches a young boy her age stealing from the pond she takes care of the situation. Maleficent and the young boy soon grow very fond of each other, bonding initially over the absence of a parent in both children's life. Maleficent believes she is in love with him, "... and on her 16th birthday, Stefan gave maleficent a gift. he told her it was true loves kiss.., But it was not to be." The young boy who was no longer young, was in search of being king, and greed took over his heart. The king orders on his death bed, that whoever can kill maleficent will be crowned king. Stefan travels into the Moors in search of Maleficent. Angry and hesitant Maleficent shows herself to Stefan and soon they begin to catch up. They talk about life and maleficent finds comfort in Stefan. while her head is resting on his shoulder, Stefan offers maleficent a drink from his flask and she unknowingly accepts. When Maleficent wakes up in excruciating pain she realizes that Stefan Is no where to be found and she no longer has her wings. …show more content…

Maleficent's wings were her innocence and her sense of self. she used her wings more than her legs and she took great pride in them, and they were taken away by a man she once loved.
