Science is the body of organized knowledge. Science is the collection of ideas and theories and the methodology used by people to prove them. It is the set of methods that people follow in order to explain the things that they see, the things that they perceive and the things that they believe in.
Science is an approach by which scientists relate things to each other and explain the main concepts that govern the very laws that they derive. [Gauch, 2003]
What is the main difference between science and other types of knowledge? The answer to this question is simple: methodology. Science is not the usual techno-electronic and green-blue colored liquids that one perceives when hearing the word “science” but it as simple as a method. The method of scientific logic, deduction and logical reasoning is what classifies knowledge into science. All other types are known as non-scientific bodies of knowledge, some types of which are unorganized and unrelated to the natural world.
The issue that arises in this discussion is that is there a valid difference between science and other types of knowledge or are they both interrelated in some specific terms? Does science have a sister that encompasses the same rules and regulations and follows the same methodology or does science stand alone, with all other types of knowledge as a separate entity.
Does science depend upon the findings and possession of other types of knowledge for its effective running or is it directly based on scientific reasoning?

The differences can be analyzed using differences in characteristics and the differences in the very aspects of the two bodies.

Science is a word that carries with it many meanings - knowledge, truth, a process of examination. But when it comes to setting a clear definition of the term, difficulties arise. Certainly physics is science, and theology isn't. But many disciplines are less intuitively dichotomized, such as the fields of psychology, history, ethics, and many others. Are these sciences?
First, when observations are made, hypothesises are formed. To test these hypothesises scientists conduct experiments. If their hypothesis is right, it is confirmed by further experiments and validated by other scientists. After many experiments and confirmations, a theory is formed. A scientific theory is a broad and general idea or explanation provided by scientists and is related to observations and is supported by a large amount of evidence. A theory is not a fact however it is just a possible explanation. An example of a theory is the Big Bang Theory.
Science: the concerted human effort to understand, or to understand better, the history of the natural world and how the natural world works, with observable physical evidence as the basis of that understanding. Science is not just a word to be tossed around, it truly is a magnificent universe of different theories and studies all brought up by normal people. Through mankind’s entire finding we come across many theories, like the theory of plate tectonics or the heliocentric model theory. Generally, science is a hotly discussed and vehemently debated topic. Although science is definitely a method of obtaining knowledge, when it comes to explaining the universe and human experience, it has both strengths and weaknesses in comparison to other explanations such as art and religion.
All these doubts could not be answered on their own. Some people had to do research on specific subjects, they had to observe them and after a lot of work on it they had to present the results. They got experience in resolving problems of humanity and so science appeared. Nowadays, science is involved in every aspect of our life, even in subjects that we can not imagine. We can see remarkable examples of scientific achievements in technology and also in society, but they will be analyzed in the next chapters.
