From 1806 to 1826 most of the Latin countries under Spanish rule fought for their independence. The reason that caused these countries to have courage to fight for independence was because in 1808 Napoleon was able to invade and conquer Spain. Examples of those countries are Venezuela and Chile. There are similarities in the ways in which these two countries fought for their independence but there are also some differences in how they fought. Some of the leaders who were involved in the Venezuela’s fight for independence were Simon Bolivar, Francisco de Miranda and Antonio José de Sucre. The Venezuelan fight for independence against the Spanish empire began in 1811 and finally ended in 1823. The Venezuelan war was done in different phases, which began with Francisco de Miranda.
Costa Rica is covered in huge jungles. Reminding me of the movie Tarzan, the jungles are full of monkeys, macaws, and many other curious creatures. Another interesting thing about Costa Rica was the beach. On the pacific side of the country, the sand is muddy and black. Even though the dark sand made the ocean look dirty, it made the white sea shells shine exceedingly bright. One of the scariest parts about Costa Rica was the reptiles. It seems that every river was full of enormous crocodiles. Although the lush, green jungle was a beautiful sight to see, Bonaire had even prettier views. Since it is located in the Caribbean, the island of Bonaire is surrounded by the most gorgeous turquoise water. The ocean was definitely the prettiest part of the island. The main terrain of Bonaire is desert. Unlike Costa Rica, there are hardly any trees. The island is covered in rocks and cactus. Because of the lack of vegetation, there were very few animals that thrive. For example, donkeys and finches were some of the only animals I saw on the island. Just like Costa Rica, Bonaire has a reptile problem. Thankfully, the reptiles in Bonaire were much nicer. Iguanas ruled the island. They were everywhere. After vacationing in Costa Rica and Bonaire, I realized that both have extraordinary
Colombia and Ecuador are neighbors, but that does not mean visiting one country is like visiting the other. Each country has different popular travel locations, offering diverse landscapes to explore. They share a similar tourist season but have some different festivals and celebrations. Understanding the similarities and differences in the tourist destinations and cultural highlights can help create a true, one-of-a-kind cultural experience.
Child rearing and family structure within the Hispanic culture is noticeably different than what is present in the mainstream Western culture of today. One apparent difference is in gender roles. There exists a vastly different expectation in Hispanic culture for males and females. The male is considered to be the independent breadwinner, and the head of the household. Accordingly, the female role is one of submission and provider of childcare. In contrast, it is more than acceptable in Western culture for a female to maintain a non-traditional role. Hispanic culture additionally differs from Western culture in the traditional makeup of the family. Within Hispanic culture the extended family plays a huge role

The country consists of a low, rolling plain in the south and a low plateau in the north. The country is also home to many rivers and the Uruguay River and the Rio de la Plata are some of its largest. Uruguay's climate is warm, temperate and there are rarely, if ever, freezing temperatures in the country. Spanish is the country’s main language. Uruguay, officially called the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, is a constitutional republic with a chief of state and a head of government. It is a country growing out and getting recognition for its exports and growing businesses. With allowing trades to be done easily with foreign countries, many find Uruguay as a good partner to do business with.
Venezuela was one of the richest countries that emerged from the collapse of Gran Colombia in 1830 (the others being Colombia and Ecuador). For most of the first half of the 20th century, Venezuela was ruled by generally benevolent military strongmen, who promoted the oil industry and allowed for some social reforms. Democratically elected governments have held sway since 1959. Current concerns include: a polarized political environment, a politicized military, drug-related violence along the Colombian border, increasing internal drug consumption, overdependence on the petroleum industry with its price fluctuations, and irresponsible mining operations that are endangering the rain forest and indigenous peoples.
Did you know Venezuela is officially called the Bolivarian Republic? Venezuela is a country located on the northern coast of South America. The capital and largest city of Venezuela is Caracas (officially called Santiago de Leon de Caracas), which is home to nearly two million people. Venezuela was founded on July-5-1811. One of the beautiful place or view in venezuela is Angel Falls. Angel Falls is the world's highest waterfall (with a height of 979 meters and a plunge of 807 meters.) The flag was designed by Francisco de Miranda and the his design was also the inspiration for the flags of Colombia and Ecuador. I chose these three feature from the flag of Venezuela which are the horizontally striped yellow-blue-red national flag, the arc of eight white stars in the centre and the national coat of arms of venezuela in the upper corner.

ahatma Gandhi once stated that “A nations culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people” This holds evident in the European country of Spain. Spain is a country of long time tradition in which people work hard to continue on with a culture they created long ago. Spain is a very colorfully cultured country with many famous and important traditions which include bullfighting, the art of flamenco dancing and La Siesta.
The cultural in Spain is generally plain in comparison with most over developed countries. Ninety-five percent of the population are white Catholics. The "granadainos" don't have a particularly good reputation and they are renown for their "mala follar" which means bad humor. They tend to be less friendly and lighthearted than the average Spaniard.
In 1535, Spain was beginning to be colonized. It was ruled by Bogota loosely, and didn’t colonize as quickly as other places in South Africa because it wasn’t as important to the Spanish, but later on when things started to pick up in Venezuela, everyone was impressed with how well it did.
The history of Spain is very rich. It used to be inhabited by the Muslims before the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella later took rule in 1479. They also had ruling power of other territories, which in the future became the country of Spain. Because of their faith, Ferdinand and Isabella are considered Catholic Monarchs. To this day Spain remains a very Catholic country with 94% of their country’s population being Roman Catholic. Most of the people in Spain’s ethnicity can be traced back to the Mediterranean and Nordic type . Although, today 88% of the population is made up of native Spaniards. Other minority groups include Latinos, Asians, Africans, and other Europeans.
