Spain, formally called the Kingdom of Spain, is one of the many beautiful countries in Europe.It is part of the European Union and holds much historical value. It is located on the southwestern side of Europe and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and Pyrenees Mountains. Its size can be compared to a country slightly bigger than twice the size of the state of Oregon and has a temperate climate. All in all, it is Spain’s culture, history, and overall structure are what makes it so great.
The history of Spain is very rich. It used to be inhabited by the Muslims before the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella later took rule in 1479. They also had ruling power of other territories, which in the future became the country of Spain. Because of their faith, Ferdinand and Isabella are considered Catholic Monarchs. To this day Spain remains a very Catholic country with 94% of their country’s population being Roman Catholic. Most of the people in Spain’s ethnicity can be traced back to the Mediterranean and Nordic type . Although, today 88% of the population is made up of native Spaniards. Other minority groups include Latinos, Asians, Africans, and other Europeans.
The Spanish culture also promotes to the interest of Spain. Their culture is very strong and holds a lot of value. Art is a big staple in their culture, having Pablo Picasso’s work as part of their historical heritage. Sports are also a large part of the Spanish culture. Soccer is an extremely popular sport in Spain, and bull fighting is done in Spain as well. Cultural music of Spain includes Flamenco music and dance. ... still lingers in Spain. The major parts of the economy include agriculture and tourism. Spain is the leader in wine production int he whole world, which explains why wine is one of their largest exports. Spain also has a large export rate in the automobile business. Their major exports are 11% of cars, 4% of accessories and other parts of automobiles, and 4% of automobiles for goods transportation.
All in all, Spain is a very interesting country tag has a lot to offer to the world. Not only is it beautiful, but is economically, politically, and culturally invested. These things are what brings the rest of the world to Spain.
