CN Tower
The CN tower is the most popular attraction in all of Canada. This is the defining feature of the Toronto skyline. When traveling into Toronto, there is nothing that stands out more than this structure. Towering over everything else, it is a marvel of engineering and the limits that we can push construction to.
Standing at a towering height of 553.3m or 1,815ft and 5 inches, it is a monster among the other structures in the area. This structure sits in the heart of the city which lies right on the waterfront of Lake Ontario. Along with the SkyDome, and the Hockey Hall of Fame, the CN tower lies on Front Street. This street is the heart of the entertainment district, as well as the direct middle of the city. This makes it accessible extremely easily by car, by train, or from a boat coming across Lake Ontario. The addition of the Fast Ferry which provides non-stop travel from Rochester, NY to Toronto by boat adds to the tourism flowing into the province. This project was financed by the Canadian National who wanted to demonstrate the strength of the Canadian industry by building the highest self standing structure in the world.
The building of the CN tower was not just to have another huge building rising out of the ground and identifying a city. This tower actually had a very practical use in the city. In the early 1960’s there was a huge boom in the engineering construction in the Toronto area. This resulted in a number of buildings rising over hundreds of feet. In order to solve this problem, a tower was built to rise above all of these buildings and stop the problem with communications. With the microwave towers rising to over 338m, and the antenna rising to the top of the ...

This cultural center of an entire country is one of the most awe-inspiring structures ever created. Created just for its purpose in helping Canadians get decent reception with radio and television, it has turned into something more. Without any doubt it is one of the most exciting tourist attractions in Canada, with the Niagara Falls the only other one coming close. Until you can take a trip up there, stand on the glass floor, and look down at over three hundred meters of air, you cannot fully realize the power and magnificence of this concrete giant.

For this book review I read, Towers Falling by Jewell Parker Rhodes. The main character is a young girl named Deja, who narrates the whole story in first person. Life is difficult for Deja and her family, especially since her father is sick and very depressed and the family has been forced to move into a homeless shelter. Deja has to transfer to a new school where she is assigned to work on a project about September 11th that slowly helps her understand how much that day has affected her father’s life and the life of her entire family. The story takes place in 2016 in New York City. The conflict is person vs. self.

Expo 67 was a defining moment for Canada because it made the whole world notice how good Canada really was and is today. Expo also put Canada on the map as a successful country by hosting the biggest word’s fair in history. It also showed the world that both the English and French could work together in a major project like Expo 67. This experience of both the English and the French working together could also result in making more bigger and better projects in Canada. Last but not least, Expo told everyone that Canada was a great and beautiful place to visit and it made more and more people wanting to visit the country, and see Canada first hand.

Altitude sickness is an illness you can get from ascending too high above sea level too quickly without acclimatizing to the decrease in oxygen levels. Altitude sickness, also called acute mountain sickness, is caused by exposure to low partial pressure of oxygen at high altitude. At high altitude atmospheric pressure is lower than at sea level. Because of the lower pressure the air expands as it rises which causes it to cool, thus high altitude air is cold. Normally the human body can adapt to high altitude by breathing faster, having a higher heart rate, and adjusting blood chemistry. However above 8,000 meters (26,000 feet) altitude acclimatization becomes almost impossible.

(City of Toronto website, 2014)The museum tells about a Victorian house belonged to a political reformer who led people to freedom. It tells the story of a man who led 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion against the government. (Hume, 2011)Some people visit the museum for the history, while others are interested in the ghost stories. (Chris Raible Special to The Star, 1988)The museum belongs to the Toronto municipality today and can be visited every day. A few might visit simply because it is a fine example of late-Georgian architecture. (Hume, 2011)
The Book of Job can be separated into four natural divisions. For the sake of simplicity one must analyze each section separately. The first section is comprised of chapters one and two and contains the challenge made to God by Satan. The second section of the book, chapters three through thirty-seven, contains Job's questioning of God's conduct and the attempt to account for these actions by the three men known as the "Comforters"; Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. Chapters thirty-eight through forty-two are the third section. These chapters are where one finds a dialogue between God and Job in which God explains the rationale behind his actions. The forth and final section of The Book of Job is found at the end of chapter forty-two and is the attempt at justification of God's actions. The work can be analyzed more effectively when one looks at each of these sections individually.
Global Warming, much of what does or does not happen forty years from now rests on our actions or inactions taken between now and then. The crucial question is whether we should pour all our resources into mitigation – reducing our carbon emissions. According to scientists who study the climate there are other environmental problems; “we now face a global crises in land use and agriculture that could undermine the health, security, and sustainability of our civilization”.

Oxygen is widely used in both chronic and acute cases, in emergency medicine, at hospital or by emergency medical services (Nicholson, 2004 ). Just like any other form of medication oxygen is a drug that if used incorrectly could cause potential harm, even death (Luettel, 2010 ). Oxygen is admitted to the patient with chest pain for two main rationales. The first is by increasing arterial oxygen tension, which in opposing causes a decrease to the acute ischemic injury, and thus over time the entire infarct area (Moradk...

The book of Job is essentially one that tests faith. Job was a righteous man of God and lived a prosperous life. Sadly, a series of unfortunate events caused him to lose everything; his source of income, his family, and his health began to suffer. Even though this test was prompted by Satan, God allowed it because he wanted to see if the many blessings he bestowed upon Job were the reason for his loyalty. However, the conservation that transpired between Job and his friends left God very angry. The key to figuring out why is to first know the exchange of words then comprehend the meaning that lies within.
