There are thousands of people in the world today who are outsiders looking in on the United States Of America.They really have no clue on how America really is immigrants think that Americans are just free living it up in boatloads of money, but little do they know America is a corrupt society. Lets just say they have never picked up an American history book or learned any type of American culture once they touch down either legally or illegally they would be in for a rude awakening. America is a money hungry country who values war over education, the military can get millions of dollars, yet students are stuck doing fundraisers just get new books for their school our whole system is corrupt. Most foreigners think that if they come to America, there will be no poverty, no discrimination nothing I wish the speech that Dr. Martin Luther King once said justified how we are today. “This will be the day when all of god's children will be able to sing with new meaning “ My country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty , of thee I sing .Land where my fathers dies , land of the pilgrims pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring’’ ( Dr. Martin Luther King). If a lot of immigrants knew our past and how much America was segregated we were and how we still are its just not as bad . Dr. King had a dream that the nation would be free from all segregation and that people would be able to walk the face of the earth without being classified by color, race,or gender, and religion. If I was from a different country, I would stay put depending on where I was from because coming to America you would not have a fair chance at living out whatever your perception of the so called American dream . When you think about it slavery still exists because You have immigrants from different countries coming here having the mindset that they can live a better life and be able to provide for their family. Most of them end up working on farms picking food that we eat, but Americans don't look at the fact that the people who are making it happen for the food to our plates are being mistreated. If we truly get all the negatives out of our country and treat people fairly and as we are all one we would not have to worry about anything. “ And when this happens , when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city , we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men< Jews and Gentiles , Protestants and Catholics , will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual “Free at last! free at last! Thank God Almighty , we are free at last “( Dr. Martin Luther King). This quote pinpoints on where I come from when I say if we come together as a whole any and everybody would be able to live up to whatever they think the American dream
