The Unforgettable Journey
The novel “Alchemist’’ was very successful novel and it achieved commercial success as well. The author of the novel was Paulo Coelho, who is a Brazilian novelist and also a numerous for an international awards and Crystal Award.Paulo Coelho needed someone to publish his novel, so he got a big publisher named Rocco, to get his book publish and his next book as well. The novel ‘’ Alchemist’’ was the top seller in Brazilian at that time. The book The Alchemist was there an expression book, the theme to the book would be always follow your dream in the sense that there is a higher being pushing you towards that dream. And sometimes you may run across the bridge that you can cross but you would have to rebuild the bridge so you can cross that off turning back because you cannot cross the broken bridge.

There are many examples in the book that shows how he has so many obstacles stopping him from his dream and there are times when he felt discouraged wanting to go back to where he was before the dream. When I talk about

dreams I'm not talking about the place in your mind when you sleep you go to a fantasy in you're mine what I'm talking about dreams as it goes something you strive for to accomplish and in the book we see how Santiago was a sheepherder that likes to read about Adventures and books that he never thought he would go on one like the book you read ().
When Santiago finally decides to rest by A big sycamore tree. And While he falls asleep, he beings to a dream and a dream that we do not really understand the dream at that point of time until later in to the story. And after him woke up from his dream his flock starts to stir like they having the same dream. So he beings to talks to his sheep about a girl he seen the past year, who was the daughter of a merchant ().
We are all like him reading watching looking at things that we could never strive for or are we just don't have the courage to for example I read magazines to see the amazing sights around the world so I will never get to travel to see the just imagine and I mean like right there but we just don't have the courage to go there. We can all relate to he had no money because he would just a sheep herder and he only had 10 sheep’s but he wanted more he wanted to take the journey take a chance to find this long lost treasure that no one seems to know where to get it or how to accomplish it ().
According to the novel the term ‘’Personal Legends’’ was use in a way that define an individual who can live a satisfying life that he/she has competed their goals in life. Like in some case the universe can achieve perfection when all things natural continuously goes thought a cycle of achieving in its Personal Legend. Making it evolve into a higher being that has a new goal or Personal Legend ().
Another issue that the book brought up what something about discouragement that can be the big key everything for example the boy was so discouraged after the lady told him where to go to get the treasure and how much he has to pay her, which we all can relate example you want to take a trip to Paris you said you're gone and then you get to the airline to purchase a ticket and the ticket price went up now we don't have enough money that feeling you get is discouragement are the plane that you need to get on it's not working and it's been delayed for some time that you wouldn't know then you start feeling should I be doing this was this meant for me is this a sign from a higher being telling me not to go. And one of the quote from the novel that I like was “…whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It's your mission on earth." This mean that you have to go after what you want in life and that the universe will guide you if you truly want it ().
All thought out the novel Santiago met a lot of people to guide he to his Personal Legend and when he returns to see the alchemist’s at his tent.

The alchemist was on a horse and had a falcon on his shoulder, which given he a more mysterious look. Then he goes on to tell Santiago to take him somewhere the are life in the desert, which confused Santiago. And I wouldn’t blame because I would be confused as well considering that the are some life that live in the desert. But Santiago did get what he meant by that, and he goes in the desert on his horse and tells the alchemist that ‘’life exists where they have stopped, because his horse knows life’’ which was a brilliant answer to his question, because the horse is alive which means its life itself, but that wasn’t what the alchemist was thinking. As the alchemist continues into desert; he picks up a cobra by its tail showing him that there is life everywhere even the desert

When Santiago was three hours away from the pyramids, the alchemist tells him that he would be going on alone, which meant that everyone should have help thought out the journey, but when it comes to the final part of it they must go alone to get the feel of accomplishment ().
Santiago got to the church and he was so worn out from his journey that he slowly falls asleep and thinking how God lead him to the treasure that was at a monastery, but the real treasure was the journey itself. The novel tells us that if we have a goal in life that they are higher bin that will guide you and aid you in some way to see you reach your goal or your Personal Legend.
