We have completed the assessment of Terrence for the Post-D program and have determined that Terrence could successfully complete the program. There are concerns as reflected in the attached clinical assessment that Terrence struggles with immaturity and cognitive distortions to justify his behavior. During my initial interview with Terrence, when asked about his past criminal offences, Terrence deflected blame on to his co-defendants by stating that “the boy lied on him” or “someone said I did it”. Terrence stated that he needs to change his behavior but feels that he only needs to get a job and not detainment in detention.
