The Cold War is the period when there are political and military tension between America and other countries like Japan, the Soviet Union as well as other western countries. The Cold War is a term to describe the relationship between the America and Soviet Union. It is involves the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Berlin Wall, or Vietnam. It all starts out when America and the Soviet Union are uneasy allies, and their join force is the result of the fear that the Nazis can gain control over Europe. After the restructuring of Europe begins, there is a developing of power struggle between the Soviet Union with Britain and the United States. The North wants to expand beyond its 49th parallel and the South does not want to, and because of that, the United States starts the war to undermine Communism and protect the America way of life in South Korea. The Korean War is a major conflict of the Cold War, as the Soviet Union supports the North and the America supports the South. In June 1950, North Korea attacks South Korea, and the United Nations come to help the South Korean Army. The United States provide the majority of the forces in the battle. At first, the United Nations just want to defend South Korea, however, President Truman wants to go on the offensive, and the says the war is now about liberating North Korea from communism. At the time, President Truman has ordered MacArthur, who leads American forces to attack at the Battle of Inchon. It is a success and they are able to move in and route the North Korean army. After that, China enters the war, since they are not happy and send their army because MacArthur keeps pressured the President to drop nuclear bombs on mainland China. However, Truman knows that they lack the resources to fight a war with China, and defend the Western Europe, occupy Japan, and hold Korea at the same time. Last but not least, they want to keep the war limited and thinking that dropping a nuclear bomb can start devolved into World War III. On the other hands, MacArthur has criticized Truman in public in order for American people to turn against him. Because of that, Truman removes MacArthur and replaced him with another General. At the end of the Korean War, the President Truman does not want to appear weak, and when Dwight D.
