On the other hand, technological issues shape the way technology is used in today’s classroom. The use of technology in today’s classroom is limited and restricted due to fears of misuse. Sometimes, when a teacher incorporates technology in the classroom there is always a student that misuses it. For instance, a teacher may assign the student to research a topic but instead the student decides to play games and watch movies, thus incorporating too much technology in a classroom can also become an issue because it can easily distract students. Educational issues arise because of lack of funding in certain school, which limits the purchase of these technological devices or software. Nonetheless, in order to be an effective 21st century teacher, the teacher needs to relate and communicate with the 21st century learner. The teacher needs to be up to date with the educational technology standards and skills that are required in 21st century teaching.
