The spreading out in the field of technology has sensitively impacted people's daily lives. One precise type of technology that has significantly impacted the world in which we live in, are computers. The improvements in science and technology have a direct influence on our daily professional, social and personal lives. The development of computers is one of the highest scientific successes of the 20th century. Computers are used in nearly all areas of our lives and in most fields of study, work, teaching and learning.

In today's society, most people who have teenagers are working parents. Furthermore, single individuals are undoubtedly working people. In earlier days, this was not conducive to being able to obtain a university degree. If a person needed to work fulltime, and then perhaps take care of a household and family, it will be impossible to physically attend a university class or on a campus at a required time. Nowadays, due to the impact and advancement of computers, a person is able to work, take care of a house and their family and be able to also obtain a university degree through the use of computers, the internet and online classes. It is true that the impact that the development of computers has had on our lives and our present way of living has been extremely positive. Nevertheless, one of the negative attributes is that computers as with much of technology is not faultless. Files are nowhere to be found or damaged due to technological errors. Also, although being able to go paperless in many areas really helps us to save the world and go green, this does pose a minor problem. With the lack of a paper reproduction of important files, when a computer file is nowhere to be found or damaged there is not a paper reproduction to fallback to as a reference. Lastly, the major negative impact of the computer technology is security and hacking worries. Identity theft has been a major challenge. As computers play a greater role in our day-to-day lives, the level of identity theft and danger of somebody hacking into another person’s private information increases. As earlier stated, there are always pros and cons to every development that impacts all areas of our lives, but, the good does out weight the bad in this
