Technology and Government

Technology is the biggest tool for everything in this day and age, anything from work, knowledge and productivity, to health and entertainment, it is virtually everywhere with almost everything depending on it now. Due to it being so vast and so diverse to help us in all these good ways it could also be a double edged sword. The same tool to help us all develop could be the same one to take our freedom and or to bring society down.

As we all know technology is growing at an exponential rate, which means that there could be very little that it wouldn’t be able not accomplish by itself. What if eventually all jobs are taken by technology its self, if governments decide to use technology to replace humans in labor for financial reasons, how would that change society and culture? and also what would be left for humans to do if there is no need for them anymore? This topic is given to us by Nuwer Rachel in her article. All these topics will be covered and discussed in the paper from the authors perspectives to see how government and technology play such a major role in our world and cover all the things that are in stake.
In reviewing the literature on Government and Technology, I will show that Bradbury Ray viewpoints in Fahrenheit 451 on technology differs from Nuwer, Rachel’s viewpoint, and that ultimately what is at stake in this conversation is the loss of freedom and self-expression, due to affects from technology and government. …show more content…

The point of technology is a major part of our society “Technology already is controlling critical systems such as airline routes, electricity grids, financial markets, military weapons, commuter trains, street traffic lights and our lines of communications” and it being and controlling a very large part of us has been made many times now and clearly so, it is connected to us from day to day in every aspect possible which can be a danger now. Due to technology being such a big part of us now if all of it connectively has a major failure or malfunction it can bring us down with it. The Press Associated has made an article to confirm titled “Growing dependence on technology raises risks of malfunction” the author states “When technology breaks down now, people's lives go haywire, too.” As we see for the general part technology has been productive and made things collectively easier for us but it is all very connected, which leaves it vulnerable to hackers and major malfunctions. Technology is picking up its own pace and us humans can barely look after it to update and patch security there for we need to be more cautious and careful and it is us to do so to as we are the creators of it and we are the ones that are at stake and if not then we leave all of our lives on thin ice of
