The recruitment, interviewing, selecting and orienting of any large retail company can be daunting if the company doesn’t have a concrete plan that works across the nation. Target has 1,807 stores in the United States, and currently have 323,000 team members. (Target.com) Recruitment for target is done by having recruiting events, online job posting on “Indeed.com,” on the target website and in store. A retail company of this magnitude could do better in the recruiting section. There are no local college recruiting events, and weakens the recruiting process. The benefit with campus recruiting is that top students can be selected, and they have the opportunity to be groomed in to future management positions. Job fairs can also be helpful
