Since the beginning of recorded history, there were individuals who lead people in many different types of ways. Some lead people in the aspects of dictatorship, while others did it in other fashions. In many forms and ways it had been done, people had guidance in their live that would teach, enlighten, inspire and aid. A Pastor/Bishop can do all these things and more for the people who he/she guides. Through the year’s preacher and sermon givers have talked to people with no payment in return. Preachers have done this deed without seeking payment in return, due to either the respect of the religious faith or out of the kindness preacher’s heart or both. People may think about the “youth pastor” who organizes trips, devotionals, and encourages involvement among the teenage youth group. Or people may bring to mind the “senior pastor” who is responsible for most of the preaching that is done at the congregation, or the associate pastor who does much of the hospital visiting. But despite what an individual’s perception of what a pastor is, most of society can all agree that that pastor are important to the people. One of the jobs in which this problem impacts the most is the occupation of a pastor. Pastors are religious leader who teaches and guide people to go further in that specific religion. Pastors are the leaders of the church /community that it is apart of, and many time often referred to as the one who God has called to guide his people to him. With all of the respect and legitimacy that a pastor has, most pastors worldwide are not getting paid for the service they do. Most preachers do not get paid a legit salary like other occupations because it is often looked at as a community service. The income that a preacher does have is from the members of the church.
