1. Game Summary
The title of the game "Limbo" is pretty explanatory and fitting to the game itself so I think it is a perfect fit for this game. It refers to the place in between hell and heaven (Life and Death) sort of like a purgatory or/and where the uncertainties happen. The official description given by the game's developers tried to cover this up to a certain extent by giving the players a simple backstory where the main character of the game "little kid" is looking for his sister in the "Limbo" state.
At the main menu, you see in the background this scene with a broken ladder hanging off a tree, and two disparate groups of flies hovering about what might vaguely look like corpses. This could mean that the two siblings have died even before the game has started and were separated after. The rest of the game continues with him chasing and trying to find and save his sister.
Even though the game looks very simple, it actually offers more than that. The complexity of the game even exists in its name. Therefore, the creative aspect of the game is very high and good balanced throughout the game.
1.1. Genre
Limbo is a 2D side scrolling game with a physics engine incorporated into the game. The character is able to interact with most of the objects to solve puzzles or to overcome difficulties that he has to face throughout his journey. Some games that would be similar to Limbo is "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons". The two games have similar controllers and similar physics engines however there are graphical differences.

In Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein, sound is used as an effect to scare people and create a “spooky” feeling. They used the sounds of a storm with rain and thunder, the sound of footsteps coming up from behind people, and other noises like creaky stairs, floors, and doors. This created that “haunted” or “spooky” feeling that would be used over and over again in horror films for decades. In the movie Apocalypse Now, there is a double disc soundtrack with thirty tracks on it. The one song on there that has the most meaning would The Doors song “The End”. This song not only set the mood for the scene waiting in Saigon and the move as a whole but is also used to foreshadow the death of Coronal Kurtis. Mr. Coppola, the director of the film, was a genius for picking this song to represent the movie. It not only fits the movie with the sounds of helicopter but the words alone have significant meaning to the movie. Along with it serving as a premise for the movie, Mr. Coppola plays with the viewer’s perception of diegetic sounds and nondiegetic music.
