Even though SpongeBob SquarePants is a popular children’s show, many adults enjoy the crazy antics of its cartoon characters. Furthermore, these adult fans have developed some interesting ideas about SpongeBob and his friends under the sea. These characters may seem like goofy creatures; however, some people see much more. Many have discovered that each character represents each of the seven deadly sins. In addition, the symbolism makes sense. If Squidward is always blowing up at SpongeBob then he must represent the deadly sin of wrath.
