Introduction of company background

Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd was founded by Haji Zakaria Bin Arshad were also known as Mudim Zakaria who starting by selling traditional medicines at the village in a small scale of business. The businesses growth well with the hard work it is doing. Later, in 1987, Haji Zakaria managed to add a line of products with a soy sauce manufacturer. The development and progress of Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd were also supported by his son, Shaarani Bin Zakaria who has now taking over in manage the company of his father. Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd has been established since 1987 in the state of Kedah. It is one of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia which produce food products. • Their product have a good quality control and HALAL guaranteed certified by Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM)
• Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd practiced Islam concept in management of their production, now in the process of achieving the level of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMS) to ensure the purity and cleanliness of the products.

3.2 Weaknesses
• Based from the analysis, Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd has a lack in using information technology. It is proven when they did not have an official website or an e-commerce.
• They have to bear the cost of sending their workers for training in term of information technology (IT) and information system (IS) because some of them does not have a expertise in IT.

3.3 Opportunities
• Syarikat Mudim Sdn Bhd managed to maintain the businesses because there are so many competitor in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who in a similar portion in business.
• They also managed to dominate three states in Malaysia after they start at their village at Kedah with their products which now expand to Perlis and Pulau Pinang.
