A Website Analysis on the Reformation of Marijuana Laws. NORML, or the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, founded in 1970, is a non-profit, public interest advocacy group which fights for those Americans who oppose marijuana prohibition and want an end to the arrest of responsible marijuana smokers. On its website, the organization states that its mission is to “move public opinion sufficiently to achieve the repeal of marijuana prohibition so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to penalty” (NORML website). Cannabis, the scientific term for the plant on which the marijuana leaf is grown, is used throughout the site. NORML, the oldest and largest marijuana legalization organization in the country, supports the idea of a legal marijuana market, and removal of all criminal penalties for the private possession and use of marijuana by responsible adults. Through their website, NORML hopes to inform people who are interested in helping their cause to learn more about them, and to keep organization members connected to what is happening in other chapters and around the world.

In addition, I will consider opportunities that I can take advantage of and the threats that can possibly impede my progress.

The topic of interest in this literature review is on whether print media or digital media is better than their counterpart. Print media is a medium used to disseminate information or news on printed matter (“print media”). For example: newspapers, magazines, books. Digital media is digitised content that can be transmitted over the television or through computer networks like the Internet which constitutes text, graphics, audio and videos (“digital media”).
Digital printers has made it so publishers are able to do low print runs and even print on demand. In the past, publishers have been limited to offset printing, which is generally “very high [quality], and once the printing job has been set up, the cost per page is low” (Thompson, 2005, p. 421). Offset printing is very time-consuming because plates have to be created for each page, so for low print runs it would be considered uneconomical. Although it is hard to match the printing quality of an offset print run, digital printers have been developed in recent years that are almost exact matches. This allows books to be printed without plates, and makes low print runs possible, and cost efficient. Digital printing is very attractive to independent publications, as they are more likely to be working with a lower budget and planning low print
