Switching To Accounting Major

My gap is the uncertainty of if I want to continue with my accounting major or switch to business administration. I have recently discovered this during my business class when the advisors came in to speak to us about classes for the upcoming semester. This is important for me to figure out because I need to declare my major soon. So, I don’t waste any of my time taking classes I won’t need for the degree I choose. I have always subconsciously questioned my major and my future. However, several events have lead me to bring that question to the surface. The first event to tip me off was my brother talking to me on a car ride home. He was telling me all about how the business administration major was just as good as accounting and I could change my career to something different later, if I wanted. Although, accounting would be a more reliable choice and a possibly more financially beneficial choice. My conclusion to choose this as my primary option, also determines the answer to my gap. I will start this journey by majoring in business administration. I will do this because within the journey to this major, I will take classes in all areas of business. I will explore everything I will need to know about everything business related. This major is also very flexible, so I will have time to explore other activities that could broaden my future career. I have full freedom when choosing to be a business owner. I currently have no outside influences that will negatively affect my choice. Later, down the road, there may be complications, but can easily be resolved. If anything, too major comes along and is not easily fixed, I will have a very broad degree.
