Suzanne Collins was born on August 10, 1962 in hartford connecticut, she was also the youngest of 4 children in her family, she was not only an american author but a screenwriter as well, best known for her most recent books released, the hunger games trilogy. Suzanne Collins did not live a normal life, with her father being in the Air Force she traveled a lot. As a young female Suzanne grew up wanting to be a successful woman. Later suzanne then enrolled at Indiana University, where she graduated in 1985 as a double major in theater and telecommunications. She then after that went on to earn a master's degree in dramatic writing from New York University.After graduating school, Suzanne moved into screenwriting and television, writing for multiple children's television programs, including Clarissa Explains It All and Little Bear. Her work for these shows then caught the notice of James Proimos, the creator of the WB children's program Generation O!, who hired Collins as his head writer. Not only was he a big fan of her writing, it was Proimos who urged Collins to try writing books.

Natalie Wood died on November 29, 1981, and no one knows how exactly she died. In addition, Wood was with her husband and their friend in the boat, and she argued with Wagner before living the boat. At that time, Viola Desmond was the one of the only successful black canadian business woman and beautician in Halifax because there are were very few careers offered to the black. She Attended Bloomfield High school and also, studied in a program from Field Beauty Culture School, located in Montreal. These schools were one of the only academies that accepted black students. After she graduated, she promoted and sold her products because she wanted expanded her business;she also sold many of her products to her graduates. In addition, she opened a VI’s studio of beauty culture in Halifax.
A person that influenced Sandra heavily was her mother. Her mother was the type to take her away from the traditional tasks a girl her age does, but to have her read and develop great imagination and intellect. Her mother loved the library, every saturday she would take her kids down there and read. Flannery O’ Connor was born on March 23rd, 1925 in Savannah, Georgia. She was born into a devout Catholic family. At the tender age of 15, she suffered a great loss; her father died of lupus. This loss greatly devastated her but she overcame it and continued through high school and eventually college. She graduated from Georgia State College with a Social Sciences degree in 1945. She then began studying journalism at the prestigious University of Iowa. At the University of Iowa she came into contact with several important people that helped jumpstart her career. O’ Connor’s life was advancing better than planned until she was diagnosed with lupus in 1951. She battled with lupus for 14 years. During this time she was able to complete most of her now famous works. She wrote two novels and 32 short stories. She never married nor had any children. She died in 1964 at the young age of 39 and was buried in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Joyce Carol Oates was born on June 16th, 1938, in Lockport, New York. Raised on her parent’s farm in a rural area that had been hit by the Great Depression, she attended the same one-room school house as her mother. As a young child, Oates developed a love of literature and writing well beyond her years. She was very encouraged by her parents and grandparents to pursue her love of writing and as a teenager she was given her first typewriter. This was when her passion finally came to life. The Hunger Games Trilogy written by Suzeanne Collins has become enormously popular. The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay are the three works that make up the series. A major motion picture was released titled The Hunger Games, after the first book in the series, and it instantly became a box office hit. Those who have not read the books may be left wondering why a book series focused on kids ages 12-18 are put into an arena and fight to the death is creating such a commotion. Not only are the books popular among adolescents, many adults have also found the series captivating as well. With books so focused on violence, there must be an underlying factor that draws readers in and makes them feel so passionately about the characters in these books. In all three books, but particularly in the first, Suzeanne Collins captivates readers by creating such vivid and emotional relationships between the characters. Suspense is created by the anticipation of not knowing what will happen between the characters. A strong bond between sisters, a broken mother-daughter relationship, and a love triangle are some of the main relationships built and focused upon throughout the book that draw readers in.

Her father taught her to appreciate the arts and her mother taught her how to sew. In 1939, at age 10, Liz Claiborne’s family left Brussels, Belgium for their new home in New Orleans, Louisiana. When Liz was twenty-one years old, her sketch for a women’s coat won a design competition for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. With her sketching abilities and her winning sketch, she began working on Seventh Avenue in New York City as a design assistant and a model. While working on Seventh Avenue, she designed sportswear, dresses, and tailored clothing. From 1960 to 1975 she was the main designer for the junior dress division of Jonathan Logan, a major women's apparel manufacturer.

Karen Carpenter had anorexia and bulimia, which are both deadly disorders. In our young world we have to match a type of image. Teens are pushed to anorexia or bulimia or even both because they want to look the same as someone (Silverthorne 15). Eventually, this disorder they adopted can kill them.
The famous author Joanne Rowling Known as J.K. Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 in Bristol England. (J.K. Rowling) Her family consisted of her father Peter James Rowling, mother Anne Rowling, and her sister born two years later Dianne Rowling. Her parents were very good parents and took good care of her and her sister. They lived in a very suitable environment. They did move twice as children. Joanne is said to have been a very imaginative young girl, often imagining things and playing fantasy games. Both of her parents were avid readers, and in her early years, Joanne had many books, especially fantasy stories that were read to her. Rowling’s family moved away to a place named Winterbourne. She and her sister made friends with two nearby children, a brother and sister named Ian and Vikki Potter.
