In today's day people see birds as house pets like budgies and such, but did we ever stop to consider what we adore and coo at could be considered a dinosaur by the author? The author claims that the skeletal figure of birds is closely related to that of a dinosaur, the way a bird acts, and finally, the text looks at the way the brain works in comparison to each other. As a result of the animals looking the same, they often act the same too. Dinosaurs have been observed to tend to have actions of protection towards what is there, just as people who watch birds would do today. "When scientists look at non-bird theropod fossils they see evidence of behaviors that are common to living birds, such as nest-building, egg-laying, and brooding." The author has told us that the dinosaurs have done these actions just as birds do now in the time that current people are able to see and observe.
