In the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth, written by Jeff Kinney. Disscues a teenagaergs life as he is growing up and going thru middle school. The main charter is Greg and his family. In the book he is going thru 8th grade and trying to make new friends. The setting in the story is between school and home for greg. Also their are some school events. The story written by Jeff Kinney does keep me involved because it is talking about me at my age and it gives me some hints in life. The author does not do a very good job on imagery. Like when Greg goes to a lock he does not even say what condition the gym was in. Also in the lock out he didn’t do a good job in describing the characters either. The plot moves pretty slow because it is

I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys stories centered on the maturation of youth during their teenage years. I felt that the climax of this story was not as exciting as it could have been. However, the storyline was very interesting as well as entertaining. I look forward to reading other stories by this author!

Ponyboy Curtis narrates the story. He lives with his older brothers Darry and Sodapop, because his parents were killed in an accident. Ponyboy dislikes the Socials or the Socs. Over the course of the book, Ponyboy views the Socs in a different light after realizing their problems and noticing similarities. The book The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, follows a horrific part of the life of a boy named Ponyboy Curtis. He is what you might call a Greaser, and has had a rough go at it in his life compared to others. It is difficult, but Ponyboy somehow manages to be himself and has the tenacity to stick through it all. He is in a gang with his friends and family and they are loyal to one another no matter what. A rival gang from the Socs crowd, a richer, more refined group, send him and his pals into a whirlwind of trouble and hurt. This book shows on multiple occasions that perseverance is necessary to get through life .
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
Your home life, your friends, and other people you know are different and similar than your classmates home life, friends, and other people they know. In the book The Wednesday Wars by Gary D Schmidt and The Outsiders by S.E Hinton there are many similarities and differences with each home life, friends, and minor character influence for the main characters in the book. The main characters of the book are Holling Hoodhood and Ponyboy Curtis. A short summary of The Wednesday Wars is Holling has to stay at the school with his teacher Mrs. Baker on Wednesdays because his classmates go to Catechism or Hebrew school, which Holling is not either of those. He has to read Shakespeare and do other tasks with Mrs. Baker. He also learns about
What can you learn about adolescence by watching five very different teens spend Saturday detention together? With each and everyone of them having their own issues weather it be at home, school, or within themselves. During this stage of life adolescents are seen as rude, disrespectful, and out of control. But why is this? Is it truly all the child’s fault? Teens have to face quite a few issues while growing up. Adolescence is the part of development where children begin push back against authority and try to figure out who they are or who they are going to become. Therefore, we will be looking at adolescent physical changes, their relationships, cognitive changes and the search for identity as depicted in the movie The Breakfast Club (Hughes,1985).
