In Duncannon Pa at the top of Cemetery Road is the Duncannon Presbyterian Cemetery. The road narrows and bends in between large sections of green lawn filled with gravestones. Follow the most outside road around the cemetery towards the older side where the stones begin to fade, slow down for the sharp bend and at the far corner you'll find where the first log church that was built in Duncannon stood. The one that is standing there now is not that church, but a replica, built to look exactly like the original.

Don Aker makes the novel The First Stone very interesting and intriguing without question because of his effective writing style. He uses simple, understandable, yet powerful vocabulary to draw the reader into each moment of the plot. The sentence structure was not very complex, but I think it was quite appropriate for a teenager to read. The use of the third- person omniscient point of view in the novel really helps the reader experience the story on a more personal level. The author’s narrative voice takes the front seat, and one is able to get inside the mind of the protagonist – Reef, a teenager who is piecing together the puzzle that is his life, gradually delving into deeper emotions and relationships with important characters and figures in the novel. The characters in the text Reef and Leeza are teenagers who have gone through some difficult events in their young lives. The reader is able to relive their memories and experiences, with flashbacks that Don Aker incorporates in the novel. The climax of the story develops quite naturally, with a sense of cohesiveness that is clearly present. As each chapter passes the reader has been give some insight about Leeza as the author throughout the novel, has moved back and forth between the perspectives of the two principal characters. Little by little, as time progresses, a turn of events causes the two main characters to be in the same place, in which Reef would change both their lives forever. By making two teenagers as the main focal points of the novel, the author really wants the target audience to feel a connection, and relate the novel to their lives or someone they...

Today, there are some commonly known traits that are associated with Bigfoot and others that only Bigfoot enthusiasts or alleged witnesses would know. As mentioned previously, some Native American tribes came across gentle Bigfoots while others ran into more mean ones. It is still thought today that there are kind Bigfoots and unkind ones, these traits now paired with geographic locations. It is said that the less dangerous Bigfoots live in the Northwest while those that are more dangerous live in the south (Petterson, 2014). The most common characteristics of Bigfoots are that they walk on two legs, standing between six and eight feet tall and weighing between six hundred and eight hundred pounds (“Bigfoot Profile,” 2011). Another source gives the height as being between seven and ten feet and having a weight of five hundred or more pounds (“Bigfoot.,"2016). Yet another source states that
Cao Xueqin’s Story of the Stone is a classic in Chinese literature, showcasing the life and exploits of the wealthy Jia clan during the feudal era. Through Cao’s depiction, the reader is afforded a glimpse into the customs and lifestyle of the time. Chinese mode of thought is depicted as it occurred in daily life, with the coexisting beliefs of Confucianism and Taoism. While the positive aspects of both ideologies are presented, Cao ultimately depicts Taoism as the paramount, essential system of belief that guides the character Bao-yu to his eventual enlightenment.
Don Imus had a radio talk show. One day he was discussing the NCAA Women's Championship and the Rutger's women's basketball team. He and his co-worker were saying very inappropriate things about the women's basketball team. They called them thing such as, "hardcore hoes," "rough women," and "nappy-headed hos." Imus was trying to defend himself by saying the term, "nappy-headed hos" came from a black community. They weren't fired at first but only suspended shortly after his apology statement. Apparently this hasn't been the first time Imus has said some racist thing. causing some people to believe he shouldn't be able to come back after the suspension. Imus ended up getting pulled from his talk show.

The stones were discovered buried in close proximity to each other in a cave located in Namibia, Africa by German archeologists in 1969. When lead archeologist W.E. Wendt heard the Apollo 11 lunar mission was successful during the dig he dubbed his find The Apollo 11 Stones. These stones date back to the Paleolithic period, 25,500-25,300 B.C.E. making them some of the oldest discovered art in Africa, and perhaps the earliest known evidence of human artistic expression globally.

Millions of years ago, the earth had a different geographical look and the seas covered vast quantities of land that can now be seen. Many present day coastlines were completely submerged and the waters invaded deep into continents making vast portions of the landmasses an aquatic environment. These aquatic environments supported many different types of living creatures, from large mammals all the way down to plankton, algae, and microscopic organisms like bacteria and such. As time went on and these bodies of water subsided, they left an organic layer that covered the geographic area where it was. This organic matter, overtime, would eventually get covered up and it would form different layers of the earth. Many
Nathaniel Hawthorn wrote “The Great Stone Face” in the year 1850. The main character is Earnest and the setting is a little village situated in a small valley at the foot of a tall mountain. Upon the side of that huge mountain, nature had carved an image that, from a distance, resembled the features of a human face and folklore in the valley included a prophecy that at some future date a man would appear in the valley that would resemble the Great Stone Face. He would be the noblest and greatest person in the valley and he would lead them to prosperity. Earnest became fascinated with the prophecy as a youngster and in manhood his interest continued. He spent hours gazing at the face on the side of the mountain.
In The stone goddess by Minfong Ho, The reason I picked this book to read is because I thought it was interesting. The little introduction on the back had caught my attention. I was surprised when Mr Ho had put “ A cruel rebel army takes control of Cambodia.” It made me thought of my grandparents who were running away from the Vietnamese people (HO). The stone goddess is about Two Cambodian sisters, Teeda and Narkri, who loves dancing but then was forced to stop dancing when a cruel Army came and took them and the whole village lying to them about an attack. These two girls and many other kids around their ages were sent to another field to harvest for their family and build houses for themselves. They worked day and night, gotten hurt to the
