Aliens. Real or not real? Right now from just that one word, you have an image in your head, whether it is something from Doctor Who, Lilo and Stitch, or even just little green men. Everyone has an idea, whatever it may be. Although nobody actually knows for sure. Or do they? Maybe someone has seen a real live alien. If you think about it, you could pass one in the street , or sit next to one on a bus and not even know it. For all we know, the government could be the reason for all of this speculation, by covering up rather than telling us the truth about them. Its unlikely ; yet entirely possible. This story begins in north-eastern Arizona's Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, on November 5th, 1975. A crew of 7 men had all piled into a truck to go home for the day. On their way home they saw a "luminous object, shaped like a flattened disc." Travis Walton, while gazing in awe at the sight before him, left the truck to get a closer look. While captivated by the object, a “brilliant bluish light” struck him, and threw him to the ground, some distance away. Witnessing this, caused the others to drive away, scared for their lives. However after much debate, they decided they should go back and get Travis. Though when the retuned there was no sign of the craft; or Travis. They immediately went to the police, where they had to undergo lie detector tests as the police thought this was a cover up story and they had murdered Travis. The crew members passed the lie detector test, and soon the case erupted into the national spotlight. Travis was still nowhere to be found, until, five days later he reappeared confused and scared, with fleeting memories of alien entities, and descriptions of the inside of their craft. This encounter took America by storm. It was on every news channel and was one of the only encounters that people believed. And the people who didn’t, were classed as scared, in denial or just stupid for not even considering the
