Steroid use in sports has became a major problem. Steroids are synthetic hormones that resemble testosterone in promoting the growth of muscle. Players or athletes use steroids to get ahead of their competition and and gain an unfair advantage. Steroids are not easily seen in athletes, therefore it is hard to catch a player using steroids without a drug test. Steroids are ban in most sports, so if a player is to get caught doing steroids there could be serious consequences. Steroids are seen as a form of cheating by other people. Also steroids put people’s health at risk. While there are many problems with steroids, there are also positives and solutions. A solution is to legalize steroid use in sports. Another positive in steroids is it increases muscle strength and causes the playing field to be a lot higher. Most players who are using steroids are seeking an unfair advantage. It would help manage and regulate the amount of the drug that the athlete uses. It would be safer than shady transactions for athletes.
