You would probably expect that when a pet store says you have all females, you have all females, but alas, not with us. Of course it shouldn’t be that bad, right? Most animals only have like, five babies, well what if I were to tell you we have three mice, two of which are female. If you’re sticking with the previous sentence that would only be about, ten, babies, about that, mice have on average seven too, I don’t know, thirty babies. You can do the math yourself, for now I’ll just tell you the story. I rubbed the little gray mouse against my cheek as I looked around the plywood walls, my eyes resting on the little brown and red mouse running so fast her tiny feet were a blur. “Run boi, run.” I chanted as my attention shifted up towards the fat orange and white mouse perched on a fall themed bird house (courtesy of Eva, of course). Here’s the designer herself I thought as …show more content…
Better? Do not use incorrect grammar in this story, also that’s not what happened. If I go off topic one more time I’ll get a bad grade, so um, let’s get to that story. “But she can’t be.” I imagined her curled up in a cold tank all alone, dead, which actually happened, but I, of course, didn’t know that part. “Stella, she’ll be… he’ll be fine.” I looked at the helpless gray fluff ball, You know what, he will be fine. “Pumpkin doesn’t seem to be getting that big.” “Yeah, but look at Hermione.” Eva held up the brown and red mouse whose sides bulged. “Oh, my, gawd, she looks like a pregnant goat. She’s pregananant.” “Very pregananant. Pumpkin”, she lifted up the orange mouse, bringing her close to her face, “Are you okay?” “She’s fine, just kinda slow.” Eva plopped down with her phone, mouse on shoulder, and went to confer with the all knowing, Google. You could hear her exhaling,”How long do mice carry their babies?” “Ah, here it is, ‘Mice generally take seven to twenty one days before they give birth. On average they have seven to thirty babies.’

Even though mice reproduce so rapidly, it is still not 100% certain that pregnancy will occur
1These two populations are different species because they have different capabilities of performing in nature. For example there is behavioral isolation. My evidence for that is that in the data, it states that the average time spent in courtship display for the St. Kitts rodent is 12.6 seconds. While the courtship display for the Nevis Rodent is 21.3. You can see that there is a major difference in the way that they behave. Also there is another type of isolation which is gametic isolation. There is gametic isolation because the average gestation time for St. Kitts rodent is 29.3 days. The average gestation for the Nevis rodent is 42.7 days. Therefore a sperm from St. Kitts rodent wouldn’t survive in the reproductive tract of the Nevis rodent. It wouldn’t survive because it wouldn’t develop properly and is not accustomed to its environment. There is also another type of isolation happening with the rodents of St. Kitts. This type of isolation is called temporal isolation. There is temporal isolation because the article states, “the reproductive seasons are being delayed by up to one year.” This is talking about that the rodents are having a hard time finding mates therefore, their reproductive season is being delayed. Also in the article it states, “In the 240 attempts to bring a Nevis animal into the St. Kitts population, you are unable to observe a single successful reproductive event.” The rodents are mechanically isolated, because if you can’t have a reproductive event, there reproductive organs might not be matching with one another. Their appearance might look identical but they are genetically different.
The mouse was Mikayla whose family lives in the Brophy household. She took him to her family after she found
In the book Of Mice and Men, the author,John Steinbeck, uses stereotype characters to convey his message. He wants to empathize with his characters as human beings. He uses stereotype characters such as Lennie, George, Curly, Slim, Candy, Crooks, and Curly's wife. Steinbeck's goal is to inform people how life was like for a migrant worker in the 1920's to 1930's.

This morning Minnie felt a little different. No one was home. No one was there to bother her. Why then, did she feel the need to continue on like a caged animal within her own home? She cautiously continued down from the upstairs.
Later he decides that he is going to go and find out what the noise is. He talks to his Brother the Raccoon, who tells him that what he is hearing is the river. He declares that he will go and find it so he can tell the others. After witch he begins to doubt himself, as he gets closer to the river. He almost turns back multiple times because he is so scared. This goes along with thinking outside of the box. He now begins to come out of he’s comfort zone, which causes he to almost makes him turn back. This is like so many things in my life, for I have an extreme prejudices and distaste for leaving my comfort zone. After Jumping Mouse gets to the river he sees his reflection in the river. He describes the image as a “Frightened Mouse”. This again shows that he truly is stepping far outside his comfort zone.
"And all the families of the families of the families of that one mouse! With a stamp of your foot, you annihilate first one, then a dozen, then a thousand, a million, a billion possible mice!"
My childhood has been just like every kid growing up in the 20th century. It revolved around the Disney story’s that were filled with magic and dreams. From Cinderella to Sleeping Beauty, my beloved children 's stories were controlled by male characters. At a young age this taught me that women are not as useful as men. These stories made me learn what it means to be a boy, girl, man, or woman. The ratio of males to females as main characters was so outstanding it lead me to question how these stories impacted how I view men and women.
The general consensus among American citizens is that the retail industry as one of the worst jobs a person can take, just short of fast food and any job that is janitorial. There are many reasons behind this stigma that affects people both in and out of the retail industry. The perspective of the customer will always differ from that of the retail worker, with the exception of those who have worked or currently work in retail. However, just because the perspective is different, the level of respect has no reason to shift.
At the end of the day, they gathered together as a family to watch their favorite Christmas movie through their little hole in the wall. "Mousey Chritsmas." whispered Mama and Papa Mouse. Max smiled up at them and whispered, "Mousey
Jumping mouse is like many people, always seeking a better way of life. The other mice were quite content with their busy life, because that was the way they have always known. But Jumping Mouse had a taste for what else the world had to offer him. When Jumping Mouse met with the old mouse, he found a perfect place to live, free from harm and lots of food. He was told he should stay but somehow, he knew that he could have better. Even later on his journey to find the mountains he discovered a small “mouse utopia” with an abundant supply of food and shelter, everything a mouse could want.
Stereotypes are everywhere and can be about anyone. Generalized remarks about gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity or age are common forms of stereotyping. Any time someone makes hasty groupings whether by race, gender or an individual and makes a blanket judgment about them is stereotyping. Military members are no different than society. One of the military's greatest assets is its diverse workforce but with diversity comes stereotypes. As a woman in the military, I frequently encounter stereotypes and have made hasty conclusions about others. This paper will discuss a few stereotypes that I have faced in the military.
These mice, being killed constantly by Lennie, were innocent victims sent to their predator by Lennie’s Aunt Clara. Did Aunt Clara consider the consequences that would later effect the mice? These mice may have had families of their own in which they would never return to. A mother mouse may have gathered food for the next meal only to see the father of her children never return. Of course it is better that she never see what had fatally happened that day.
