Stereotypes are a part of our everyday life's. We hear stereotypes everyday and everywhere. Stereotypes cause people to feel lonely and even sometimes depressed. This is bad for people's environment and their social life. We should keep stereotypes out of the picture because we judge people before we get to know them.

Some people dress differently than others. People that dress with baggy clothing are always looked at as if they are gang related or up to no good. I believe many people have gotten in trouble because of the way they are dressed. I have read in the newspapers where people have been a victim of a crime because of a mistaken identity. Where the person was believed to be a gang member because of the way he was dressed. Many people have also gotten shot and killed by the colors they wear and the way they wear their clothes. At one point I have been stereotyped because of the way I dress. One occasion that I recall was when a relative of mine came to visit and seen that I was wearing baggy pants that sagged a little and a white tee. My relative stated to me "pick up your pants you look like a cholo." I stated to my relative that the reason I was sagging my pants was due to I could not find my belt. Also, if I am wearing a specific color people tend to stereotype that I might be into gangs. Just because I like a certain trend to wear does not mean I might be looking for trouble. You cannot judge a person on their physical appearance or the way they dress without getting to know what is really behind that appearance.
To conclude, people should not judge people no matter what. Get to know individuals before you start to judge them. Stereotypes could be very harmful to a person and affect them. People often use stereotypes to target others
