The educational article that I chose to read is about a few different topics but the main topics it touches on is public schools and public school funding. The title of the article is, “Standing Up for Public Education” by John M. Kuhn. This article is written from a Public school principal’s point of view as he speaks about the struggles that go on in public school and the fight for funding. It just shows how they are in a diverse area that also has poverty. With that they may not do as well on test or have very good teachers because of the area they are in. As a result they get lower funding, and it keeps going downhill from there. I feel this way because as a child when my parents were choosing a home they specifically chose a spot where my siblings and I wouldn’t be in the Kansas City school district. Many people in my neighborhood have the same story. School funding is a giant problem to wrap your brain around because there is a lot that goes with it. It’s hard to see why all schools
