As Kenyan mother once said, “My dreams don’t look exactly like I thought they would when I was a little girl” (nd). Jacqueline Novogratz, a modern philanthropist, understands this better than most. A typical American girl, she found herself in Africa, helping women with no voice in their world. She never planned for this growing up, but her leadership, determination, and new way of looking at the world was in her from the beginning.
Some examples include programs that; raise awareness about the impact of blood donation, grant wishes to terminally ill women and sick kids, they present to kids about bullying in school, and of course the sport programs put on for kids. These sport programs were created with the goal of giving every kid the chance to shine on the field even if they cannot afford the fees to participate. The Panera Bread Company began in 1981 as Au Bon Pain Co., Inc. Founded by Ron Shaich and Louis Kane, the company thrived along the east coast of the United States and internationally throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s and became the dominant operator within the bakery-café category. In the early 1990’s, Saint Louis Bread company, a chain of 20 bakery-cafes were acquired by the Au Bon Pain Co. Following this purchase, the company redesigned the newly acquired company and increased unit volumes by 75%. This new concept was named Panera Bread. Top management chose to sell their previous bakery-café known as Au Bon Pain Co. due to the financial and managerial needs of Panera. In order for Panera to become the success top management visualized all resources needed to become available for Panera. In addition, I will describe the firm and its management. I will explain where this company come from and how this brand became so famous across the world in a short period of time.
Three years ago, Kraft added a huge brand to their portfolio through acquisition of Nabisco. A.1. is the overall market leader, stemming from little competition, substantial sales, and outstanding profit margins. The century old tradition of A.1. is not the only factor that has helped develop the brand’s high awareness and loyalty. Retailers, such as grocery stores, are aware of the paybacks in the solid brand equity of A.1. and in turn provides the steak sauce with high numbers of shelf facings. With the variety of sauces A.1. offers, these shelf facings strongly aid in keeping the well-known brand in the minds of the consumers in virtually every grocery store. In addition to the strong customer preferences throughout grocery stores, they have extremely high brand awareness and are advertised in nine out of ten steak houses.
Fox foundation is a very simple task. For example, Trails help Michael J Fox foundation raise money and look out for potential new members to join the foundation. Participating in trails is very important to scout new people to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease, “participating in clinical trials is an invaluable way to get involved in the pursuit of a cure…” (MichaelJFoxFoundaton). This is very useful because in order to continue this research, new people have to join to improve the work. Another way to obtain involved is, athletic events, because they are very enjoyable for most people and it is much uncomplicated. Sports drag people to events and it is a very effective way of convincing people to attend an event to raise money, “each year, thousands of team fox members worldwide combine their passions and interests into unique fundraising athletic events”(MichaelJFoxFoundation). Athletic events attract more people to become interested in the foundation which will help support the organization to raise money to change lives
This source lets me see the progress that South Africa had gotten to after the demolition of the apartheid. This mainly is a source that lets me compare their hopes with what happened, much like how I compare Paton’s views on what will happen to what actually happened.

In 1994, Nelson Mandela was elected to the highest office of the land. Faced with issues like an economic crisis and racial tensions, Mandela inherited a difficult set of problems. While Mandela’s new position had allocated legitimate power, “influence that is created through a title or status”, due to the severity of the issues, Mandela needed new means of acquiring power, “the ability to influence how others behave,” to garnish unified support throughout the country (P. 329). Mandela understood that to achieve this he would have to adopt various techniques to provide leadership, “a process of influence aimed at directing behavior toward the accomplishment of objectives” (P.326).

...ellent policies, 5) the Constitution had come into existence through the working together of various groups that had composed South Africa, 6) South Africa's political and economic institutions are well established, 7) and that South Africa is by far the most developed country in Africa. However, there are still avenues that can impede further progress, more so economically then politically. Primarily the lack of foreign investment, especially when South Africa's gold and diamond reserves are emptied as other parts of economy are not as developed. Secondly, the economic gap between whites and blacks that was stretched during the time of apartheid needs to be tightened or else it could become dangerous to the stability of the political system. However, due to the leadership of Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s current government structure exists to solve these issues.
