Not just because I am standing where I am standing right now, but more because we have just won a battle. A battle for the hope to keep the identity of our nation. The United States of America, where the word united not only means for all the stars on our flag but for all the people who live in these stars. The people. Irrespective of their origins, their preferences, their colors, caste, the natives, the immigrants, the blacks, the whites, the Asians, the Christians, the jews, the muslims, the hindus, theists, atheists, everyone! Everyone out there whom we can see, touch, listen to and act for! We have just won the battle for our hope. And for that I am very happy, and grateful and honoured. Be it the recent Brexit or the currency devaluation of china or the terror attacks in various parts of the world or the oil crisis out there, and we wonder…how will it impact my country, how will it impact my life. Well, I too wonder the same. Because American spirit is to welcome people from all over the world, from all sectors of the world, allow for a favourable trade environment, grow and let grow. And these headwinds do impact our functions. What we need to do is increase our immunity, our self-reliance, our independence by not being a closed nation in the world or being hostile to the brothers and sisters of different motherlands, but by coming together, strengthening our capacities, strengthening regulations, controlling budgets, increasing security and plugging leakages while still being the global America, the robust America, our
