This block can disrupt a sleeping schedule. Having a balanced amount of sleep helps the brain circulation which can help with negative thoughts. Due to the way she handled things after being assaulted, Melinda realizes her actions cause her to lose her friends. Melinda recognizes that none of this is her fault. Andy Evans stole her voice along with her innocence. She lost herself and her identity but will no longer let this define who she is. Firstly, Melinda demonstrates her innocence at the beginning of the novel when she flees the cafeteria because Mr.Neck tries to track her down for her homework. Melinda is in the cafeteria during lunch, when Mr.Neck tracks her through the crowd demanding her homework.
