Creating an easier way for social workers to tackle many different obstacles in their line of work. Ms. Chin was the Protective Services worker assigned to the Horney family pending child abuse case. The Horney family is a family of four. Mr. Chin the father was being accused of abusing his two children When Mr. Chin arrived at the resident she explained to Mr. and Mrs. Horney that she had come to investigate potential child abuse. Ms. Chin then proceed to make observations based on the surroundings. Ms. Chin started to ask questions and examine the children. She noticed physical abuse and

after taking to the children she suspected signs of child abuse. She noted that the children did have bruises on their arms and legs.
Jimmy was considered to be an exceptionally nonresponsive child who obeyed the rules of his parents.
Sherry was considered to be extremely eager and aggressive.
When Ms. Chin was done observing the children… she then gathered information on the parents and their childhood background. The text described Ms. Chin paying close attention to the family members. Stating the family’s output was surpassing its input. Factors Ms. Chin had to determine was the resources or input available to the family to help them.
Relating this case back to the contemporary theories it is related to the importance of assessment relating to human behavior. Using systems and its different systems inside a system, the roles of each individuals, the relationship and how the output and inputs can affect families’ tremendously, Ms. Chin used the Contemporary theory to figure out the best solution for the family. Throughout the assessment Ms. Chin using all her facts to determine if child abuse is being committed in this home to ensure she got the job done right.
