Socialization: A system in which people interact with others for personal or commercial purposes can be defined as Socialization. Social isolation and feral children: social isolation occurs when an individual is cut off from any interaction with society including friends and family members. The Feral children are the individuals that are alien to the social norms that a society attributes concerning children such as love, kindness, care etc. Feral children have had no exposure to these things so they have no experience or knowledge of the existence of such. I started to learn the use of utensils for my convenience as well as what I saw in my surroundings. Anticipatory Socialization: Anticipatory socialization is a process that is followed by a group of people to join an organization. When people idolize any group and they do wish to enter that group they learn the skills and equipped them selves for that purpose. Isolation is a state of being separation between persons or group, or a feeling being alone. There are different factors that contribute to someone feeling alone and isolated. An example of this would be when celebrities go into deep depression because they feel isolated from the whole world. They have all the material things they could ever want, but the one thing they want the most, they do not have. , which is happiness, which comes from satisfaction within oneself and being satisfied with what one has done in one's life. Feeling isolated does not necessarily mean a person is bad. Evidence in Shakespeare play Macbeth , demonstrates this quite clearly that MacBeth's isolation comes from guilt , over-ambition and greed.

The feeling of being an outsider is not a feeling that humans look forward to. However, it is commonly felt by most people around the world. Being an outsider is when you are in a place or a group of people in which you are not like all the others. This could be the case in social classes, cultures, or inside of a family. School and work environments have substantial amounts of people of different races or religions or social classes. Therefore, most students either can feel like an outsider or witness a person who is. People all around the world can be outsiders. This feeling is not limited to a certain group of people. As shown in Pearson Realize in unit 2, being an outsider has been, and will continue to be, a universal feeling.

These children have little experience of human care that entails social care, love and especially, human language. Feral children live wildly in isolation. Sometimes, they interact more with animals than human beings.
As children, we all read stories of wild children. We most likely never understood what “wild children” were. “Wild children” are sometimes referred to as feral children. However, feral children and “wild children” are two completely opposite ideas. A wild child is a feral child, but a feral child does not have to be classified as a “wild child”. A “wild child” is raised by an animal from an infant, because a parent has neglected them. Whereas, a feral child is, most likely, still in the home of the parent, but the parent has no communication with the child. An example of this is keeping a child locked up for long periods of time, and treating him/her different from the other children. A feral child is defined as a child who is isolated from human contact at a very young age (“Feral Children”). Feral children have “little to no experience of human care and no social abilities” (“Feral Children”). We see the use of feral children throughout the different types of literature. In literature, we read about feral children and “wild children” more during the Victorian Era. In modern day, and throughout literature, a reader can see that feral children can commonly be brought back to reality if they are helped or relieved from their stress at an early age.
In modern society, every product has advertisement which influences individuals tremendously. Corporations use mass media to strengthen product awareness and encourage product consumption. Different advertisements target specific group of people and as well as potential market. For example, people always believe that “BMW” stands for “beautiful women wealthy”, such perceptions can be derived from an example of a BMW advertisement. It starts with a young white teenage boy who drives a BWM car to pick up a beautiful girl in front of a fancy house. After letting the girl into the car, the boy goes to the back of car and imagines having a relationship with the girl. He does not expect the girl see his actions through backside camera and she is expressionless watching him. At the end of the advertisement surprised audiences, the beautiful girl kisses the boy. The advertisement silently implies how owning a valuable vehicle contributes to successful relationship and privileged status. I am highly impressed which affected my decision of owning this car. By having an own BMW impresses others and make efficient affective on what level or social standing of people you are associated with. The rich goes with the rich and the poor associates with poor. In order to makes friend with others or starts relationship, both you and other should have some share interests to create conversations.
We as a human race have become a byproduct of our society. Through media, technology, and social pressure, humans no longer run society, but it seems like we are run by society. The quote from sociologist Peter Berger states “Not only do people live in society but society lives in them” This statement is referring to a form of social control were groups and the people in those groups conform to society partially knowingly and partially as a reflection based on dominant social expectations. As I further explain Berger’s statement I will explain how individuality, identity, and freedom fit in to such a predetermined future.

The manifest functions of school are to educate students the social norms, and the knowledge and skills that help them become economically productive in order to benefit the society. But students not only learn from the academic curriculum but they also benefit from socialize with their teachers and peers.
