Question: 1) Why was the social classification of race invented?

Race is being the social classification in which we distinguish one another by our ethnic and or regional background, enables us to not only create, but uphold the systematic social status throughout the world. As proven through scientific research, race is not a substantive concept, but rather an unfounded concept that has been used to separate the human race over time. This being the case, race was invented to create social class ranks; which sanctioned the appalling treatment of non-whites throughout the past couple of centuries.

The book informs that Latina or Latino have their own self identification. When someone lives in the poverty usually, they are identifying themselves as black Latina or Latino, but once they get themselves into a stable lifestyle, then they chose their identity to white Latino or Latino. I think that this can lead into a big problem, because one day the generation will start to have a complicated life because others are leaving their true identity to blend with others and their identity can become extant. Question 1: Why is whiteness considered to be lacking? White people are not marked as cultural categories, and not defined as a specific race. They call themselves the norm culture or neutral culture. Other cultures are define and have cultural, and racial diversities, but white are undefined categories and their fore considering to be lacking. Even though white have no define categories still they have the most privilege in our categories. My parents were wealthy back in Eritrea, but when we came to America they started over again as poor American. They left their decent lifestyle to educated their children, and now eight of us are in school. They have always told us how important school is so we believe we will make more someday and support them as they have supported us. I would say my parents make more money for now because I am a single mother who works two job and attending school to provide for my family. Both my parent were educated in Eritrea, and believe better education is for a greater quality of lifestyle. So I believe is you work hard and love what you do can get you into any class you want to be in!

Question three: Why is the idea of sexual fluidity controversial?

I think when a women going through some breakups or something might go wrong with her physical to go through the sexual fluidity. I use to have a friend who was a cute asian boy from my high school who use to like girls, but somehow he changed and now have a boyfriend. Also, people living in prison can change after a while.
